Guest abovetherim Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 HOUSTON (AP) - Injured Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett is walking on his own at a Houston rehab center. That's what a person close to the Everett family tells The Associated Press. The person says Everett has been walking under his own power since his release from the rehab center three weeks ago and is now an outpatient -- with daily rehab sessions. It's the latest significant progress by the Port Arthur native during his remarkable recovery from a serious spinal cord injury suffered in Buffalo's season-opener. Doctors initially feared he'd never walk again after what was described as a life-threatening injury while making a tackle against Denver. Everett was paralyzed from the neck down when he arrived at a Buffalo hospital -- even spending a few days on life support. He was later transferred to a hospital in Houston, where he has his offseason home. http://www.kfdm.com/news/everett_23814___article.html/rehab_houston.html
Guest abovetherim Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Now, this is one man after his condition is improved I'd approach about a coaching position at Lamar. If he didn't graduate from Miami, I attempt to have him complete his degree and then offer a coaching position. I heard he is great with young people!
