Gonna be an interesting day of games tomorrow. I’ll be attending orangefield and anahuac tomorrow. 5 teams battling for the second place spot behind orangefield gonna be interesting

Some things to watch for the 2nd round:

Buna is starting to get hot. They will not go 4-3 the 2nd half. 

Will Hardin pull their usual 2nd half meltdown? 

Will Kountze be more consistent in the 2nd half?

Can Anahuac and Kirbyville stay the course? Can Anahuac get hot as they did the 2nd half last year.

Warren played alot of close games, they may play spoiler.

EC still has a long way to go to be competitive.

I definitely think Warren has underachieved. I think they are much better than their record indicates. I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat anyone besides Orangefield.

I think finally the bats are getting hotter for Orangefield. Beginning of the season they struggled with timely hits & left too many on base.  Seems they are starting to score some runs  

Bullpen is strong 
Their #1 pitcher (#13) Sr pounds the strike zone consistently. upper 70’s low 80’

#18 (Sophomore) is getting consistent in the strike zone get lots of K’s low 80’s 

#17 (Freshman) is gaining confidence & getting comfortable on the mound mid 85+

#20 (Sr) getting better & catching up after basketball should move up in the rotation as his arm strength increases, low/mid 80’s. 

Definitely gonna need some pitching to make a deep run in the playoffs

and I know warren beat Hardin tonight. Not sure on the score, but they had a lot of players suspended so they pretty much had to send their jv from what I was told. 

so anahuac and Hardin are now tied for 2nd at 5-3 and Kirbyville, kountze, and buna are tied for 4th at 4-4. A lot of baseball left. Buna and anahuac play on Friday.
