This alternative ranking of business schools spotlights innovative MBA programs that integrate social and environmental stewardship into their curriculum and research.“The faculty of the College of Business and particularly Dr. Brad Mayer, associate dean and director of the MBA program, have been hard at work enhancing and broadening our curriculum to better incorporate ethics as well as social and environmental concerns in our courses, offerings and activities,†said Enrique “Henry†Venta, dean of the College of Business. “The recognition from the Aspen Institute is gratifying.â€The biennial list is based on a research survey of schools with full-time, in-person MBA programs. The survey focused on courses, extracurricular activity and research at each school to determine how well MBA programs incorporate social and environmental issues into the training of future business leaders. The Beyond Grey Pinstripes Global 100 list recognized programs in 19 countries. DP#1FAN Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 That's great but not sure what that has to do with Lamar Sports. Dale you do a great job with this section. Perhaps we should have a topic like Lamar Ed. News. Just something to think about. Again you do a great job on here.
Guest abovetherim Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Thanks Rick, I think there will be a time when there will be several different topics on the Lamar Forum. That is if football returns to campus. College athletics as you know is just a window to all the different colleges within the university system, the student body, school spirit and traditions of each university. I just post some of the academic stuff because, just like high school academics should be the top priority of each student athlete. The vast majority of athletes at Lamar will be going professional "in something other than their sport of interest."Again, thanks for the compliment Rick and thanks too for posting from time to time. I enjoy reading what you have to say!
