There is an alternative route on this page that does not go through Conroe.

It is one of the most scenic drives in east texas, looks like the weather won't make for a scenic drive.

My boss was (or is) nice enough to let me have a half day on Friday so we are going to brave 290.  I hope to see alot of Dayton fans there in the Mall in college station before the game.  Any word on when they will open the stadium?  It would be a shame to get to the stadium at 5:00 and not be able to take our seats until 6 or 6:30.  Chances are that the weather will be nasty and cold and the more time spent indoors, the better chances we all have of not getting sick
