You bet he will be missed, just as Barbay would be missed at Newton.

Harper left Burkeville and that program may never be the same.

PNG has never been the same since Ethridge left.

Hooks, Ethridge, Harper,  and Barbay are proven WINNERS. Thanks coaches for all the great memories.

All three of these men bleed blue and Silver like all us Mustang faithful. Coach Cornel Thompson would be the next man followed by Toby as his father has retired.

IF mr hooks would retire tomorrow we all know who will be the head man. then you might see some changes made and brothers and sisters you can take that to the bank. BUT again he might like where he is now but would have a BIG say so in all of it dont you think wow what a line it would be ,from el paso to orange. lets hope mr hooks stays around a few more years and watch his young mustangs win two state titles in a row that is what he is looking at in the coming years at wo-s

WE at newton and west orange  are very aware that our ride with our legendary  coaches is just about over . we better the enjoy the last year or so of the ride.

It will be a sad day, but not nearly as sad if Coach T takes the reigns. He's as respected by Stang fans as even our top man.

I know Harper is now teaching in Jasper. I am hoping Brooks can find a use for him, thats too good of a coach to go to waste.
