Guest abovetherim Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 The Kats are now 10-0 and this was the attendence tonight 1,761. Terrible, if Lamar was 10-0, there would be 7,000+ attending the games!

BLUEDOVE3 Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Obviously Sam Houston is making it known that a Southland Conference team can compete on a national level in this day and age. It also looks like they are playing good basketball programs.
TheSportsDoctor Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 UC-Irvine is a national power in men's baskeball?
Guest abovetherim Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 UC-Irvine is a national power in men's baskeball? You're kidding, right?
TheSportsDoctor Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 I'm not a hardcore baskeball fan. I really don't know how good UC-Irvine is.

Terrible, if Lamar was 10-0, there would be 7,000+ attending the games! A lot of it has to do with the residence halls closing making the students go home... But I do agree that us Bearkats need to support our team! Eat Em' Up Kats!
Guest abovetherim Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Congratulations on SHSU good start to this season. Marlin is a great coach!
Guest mffl Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Sam Houston had under 5000 when Tech came to Huntsville right?
RonBurgundy68 Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Sam Houston had under 5000 when Tech came to Huntsville right?Yeah it was 4,842 for that game, and the place was pretty much packed...
Guest coachacola Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Yeah it was 4,842 for that game, and the place was pretty much packed... I don't think mffl was being complimentary.
RonBurgundy68 Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 I don't think mffl was being complimentary.I know he wasn't. But apparently none of you have been to Johnson Coliseum. The crowd on hand for this TT game was the 3rd largest in school history. The place didn't have to many open seats. I don't see Lamar attracting that many fans either...

I don't see Lamar attracting that many fans either...I've been to Johnson Coliseum several times. First time, I was 19 picking up my girlfriend at the time who was at a cheerleadering (cheerleader for LC-M) camp hoisted by SHSU. I've made many trips to Huntsville. I hate to disagree with you but if Bobby Knight is still coaching the Red Raiders next year when they visit theĀ Montagne Center which has 10,080 seats. There will be at least 6,000 in attendence. Several TT alumni live in Beaumont or in the Golden Triangle.
