Best of luck to the new coach.  What is his coaching history, just not familiar with the name.

think this is his first head job, looks like he played at ETBU and was coaching as an assistant at ETBU for football and baseball

Yeah I heard this last night…interesting

Too late to bring anyone in.  I guess they get a football coach that isn’t busy in the spring…..

Yeah my exact thought. I hate it for the boys.
Also heard one of the returning players had already registered at Kelly within the last 2 weeks.

Green was/is one of the good guys.  If it went down the way I heard then it is a crappy way to treat a loyal coach.

Main reason for his “loyalty” is the fact the other schools would not hire him. No classroom and no football for 20+ years in high school coaching is tough to come by 😂 This loyal coach has been trying to leave NHS for a while. He happen to do it on his own a week before school starts and leaves the new AD slim options from within.

In response to your comments about Kyle, I suggest you refrain from making statements without knowing the facts. It's unprofessional and unnecessary. The truth is that Kyle was assigned to teach 7th-grade Texas History, a subject outside of his certification, which is unfair to the students at NISD.  This is a core curriculum class.  Instead of spreading misinformation, I encourage you to reach out to Kyle directly to get the facts. And for the record, he has only applied to Port Neches. Your remarks were both rude and uncalled for.  And he has accomplished great things at both Vidor and Nederland. Kyle has dedicated himself to improving the baseball facilities and caring for the athletes, always striving to make a positive impact. I think it would be best if you stepped out of this thread.  Hey glassjoe ... Kyle said to give him a call - ********-- OH and another false statement of yours - is that he has coached football.  13 years football and 2 at Nederland.  Anything else you need clarification on?  Before you speak - speak the facts!

Where did Green go?

He will working elsewhere since C.O Wilson administration did not tell Kyle that he would be teaching 7th grade Tx history which he is not certified to teach. He found out a few days before school started. Didn’t even give him a notice. Kyle felt it would be a disservice to the students at NISD for him to teach a core curriculum class. It completely goes against his core values as a teacher/coach. It’s a shame the admin would throw anyone in any class to teach these kids despite their certifications and experience in the classroom. He met with some of his players to explain the REAL reason of him leaving. Disappointed in NISD.

Good for Kyle. The schools are getting harder to work at every year, and often, leadership doesn’t do enough to give good coaches/teachers a reason to stick around. The best teachers are the ones who get screwed the most in my experience. I don’t know the whole situation, but it sounds like what happens to a lot of hardworking teachers and coaches.

Administrators need to know they’ll lose you if they don’t do right by you. Unfortunately, the yes man will always get run over. There are too many work opportunities out there for any person to just stick it out in a situation they don’t want to be in.

Whatever the reason was for Coach Green getting out of there, I can’t blame him one bit. In the end you gotta take care of you and yours

Little birdies are chirping about boosters possibly reaching out to former LU and Big Ned alum William Delage for its opening. Would be an excellent hire from what I’ve been told. Has been a largely successful travel ball coach who could easily navigate the parental politics around the program and he definitely knows his baseball. More to come……
