The 2025 Southland Conference Baseball Championship tournament will include bracket play at the No. 1 and 2 seeds on May 15-18, with the two bracket play champions playing in the championship series on May 22-24 at the highest remaining seed. The tournament champion will claim an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Return 2 preseason 1st team all conference position players (catcher and 1st base).  Most of the other position players will be new to the roster or guys that saw limited action.  The biggest position player lost would likely be the shortstop.  Lost 2 high quality weekend starting pitchers and the pitching coach to Baylor.  Do return a preseason 1st team arm though. 

Several transfers will fill holes including a preseason 2nd team 3rd baseman.   

Took in over 10% of HCU's roster from last season with 5 transfers.  One will likely be a starting outfielder. Not sure how much the others will contribute. 

Also, my Uncle Spidey and that Aggie fellow will be back to entertain us all.  At leat I'm hoping for that!

About 3 and 1/2 hours and the Cards start the 2025 season on the road at Cal State Bakersfield.  Hoping for a nice start!

Cards put up 17 runs on 15 hits. Staring pitcher (Havard) went 5 giving up 1 run on 4 hits while 4 relievers pitched an inning each giving up no hits.  Final 17-1.

Cards dropped game 2 on Saturday, but take the rubber match today.  Sit at 2-1 as the home opener is Tuesday against the Bison of North Dakota State.

LU wins home opener, 10-3.

Cards now 4-1 on the season. Win 13-2 in 6 and 1/2 innings today against North Dakota State.  Open up a 3 game weekend series against Albany at 2 on Friday.

Lamar has started the season really well. Hopefully they will continue to improve I know they are playing some Rinky Dinks now, however I think they are going to have another good season

Look at you starting off positive. Yep, the early schedule leaves a bit to be desired, but baseball season is here!

Cards down 4-0 despite out hitting Albany heading into the bottom of the 8th. The birds put up 7 runs and close it out in the top of the 9th with a final of 7-4.  Now 5-1 on the season.

What a fantastic 8th inning of offense today to secure a 7-4 win. The Cards were down 4-0 headed into the bottom of the 8th and came up with some clutch hits to secure the win. 5-1, an excellent start to the season

Schedule seems strange to me. Next Friday opens Southland play. Lots of gaps in conference play where we meet some of our old faves like Rice, Houston, and UTA. Also,  Texas and A&M on the schedule this year.

The conference has 11 baseball teams and they all play each other thus the early start to conference games.  Once they start the only break for weekend series is UTA as each team will have an "open" weekend in conference due to the odd number of teams.  When I first saw the schedule I was surprised at such an early start as well, but like that there isn't an unbalanced schedule and all teams will face the entire conference.
