They play in one of the weakest conferences in D1 NCAA basketball and whoever wins the conference will either get a 15 or 16 seed or a playin game and unfortunately get blown out by a 1 seed. The committee knows the SLC is very weak The answer to y’all’s question which both of you already know; are the Cardinals any good? For the SLC possibly, but in reality NO they are not! That’s about as truthful as I can get But you said they would be SLC cellar dweller's. Make up your mind. Quote
spidersal Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 Hope they win it all, however they have only played 3 SLC games, still many to go and if they continue to play like they did vs HC it could get ugly The conference may be weaker than I thought Quote
spidersal Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 My 1st post stated mainly middle of the pack, the possible cellar dwellers post was after they were losing to some non conference rinky dinks Quote

They are getting beat by funky dink teams. Appears that they will be Southland Conference cellar dwellers this season You gave up before game 1 in conference play… Quote
spidersal Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 Navydawg31, you are correct This was before conference after they were getting beat by some Rinky Dink teams and how bad did they get beat by an average Big 12 team Can you say close to 50 Quote

That’s about as truthful as I can get McNeese actually has a high mid roster (comparable to a group of 5), with a comparable “pay roll.” A few of its starters actually could be playing power 5 and quite effectively. But obviously they are a huge exception to the rule in this league. Quote

Gotta be frustrating for all involved. They were on such an upward trajectory on then it’s like the wheels fell off. From the box scores, doesn’t look like it’s injury related. Hopefully they can get it figured out and start rolling again. First 4 games, it looked like the Cards were a clear #2 in the conference. Unfortunately, the next one isn’t easier in Lake Charles on Saturday. But who knows, maybe they are one of those teams that plays up or down to the competition and they’ve certainly been road warriors this season. Quote
