Most of the time the indoors are even hotter because of the lack of air flow....most of the schools in DFW that have indoors dont use them in the hottest months from what I've observed

Channel 6 is being misleading with this news article. These are recommendations, not law, like what Channel 6 is inferring.

Only thing required is the cooling stations for outside practices.

I have had a coach message me about this and he spoke personally with Dr. Harrison. He says the cooling stations are the only thing that's required. This other stuff is just recommendations.

Channel 6 has had a few things wrong here of late. smh

Seem like this will give schools like Carthage and the big city schools like Dallas that have a lot of indoor practice facilities a big advantage.

Indoors aren't much help when its crazy hot..teams dont tend to use them because they have a lack of airflow... teams that have the open air pavillions may have an edge because those are actually helpful when it is really, really hot.....Indoor facilities to me really become an advantage when there's 1) lightning 2) late in the year when you may have really cold weather

If nothing else. Local boys or gals with ties around here would be nice. Even though we've had great without. Just ny opinion

I got a simple solution

we as parents could just take away tech kick the kids outside tell them to drink out the water hose 

acclimation people.

We do. I was referring to all the schools that will soon break ground after the recommendation becomes mandatory

Indoor facilities move air relatively well all the doors open and fans. Yeah it can be warm but just getting out of the sun is a big deal it’s not the same. Just my experience
