People like you are the reason your party is a cluster right now. Give yourself two pats on the back, champ

No, people like you are why we are a cluster right now, you voted for biden rather than the best choice for the country.

Don't try to deny it, your posts tell us all we need to know.

Quit being the victim and worrying about who has your best interests in mind, no one in Washington does.

Who would you think would be more inclined to be able to streamline government:  a career politician or a business individual who's lively hood is dependent on succeeding?  If you owned a business, would you trust Nancy Pelosi or Chucky Schumer to run your business?  Or would you trust Trump or Musk?  Government is nothing more than big business.  They are just not bound by balance sheets!

Why in the world would we want a guy that created profitable companies and became the richest man in the world to have any input on Government programs? (sarcasm)

The guy has great ideas and is running X(twitter) better than ever with a 1/3rd of the staff.

I'm not sure why so many people hate successful people.

Jealousy, I guess, never really understood that either.

Wrong. Government is not like big business. That’s one reason business people do not do particularly well in the Oval Office. If a cost - benefit analysis shows the cost of lead poisoning is less than the cost of replacing lead pipes, you’d be drinking lead. That’s why we got business regulation. Unrestrained capitalism does not have a moral framework. Not a judgement, just an economic reality.

Somewhat right, somewhat wrong. You think government regulation is in place to protect the public? Government is like a big mafia. They rule control and oppress what does not benefit their machine.

That’s a bit cynical, Mat. The government is subject to the same Constitution as all of us. I think you’re confusing the role of government with the ability of lobbyists and unlimited donor money to influence that role. That’s the mafia side. I recognize that bureaucratic creep is real and is a hazard, but the government doesn’t seek to control. The money does. I’ve long believed that every other session of Congress the only action towards bills would be bills to eliminate unneeded or detrimental laws already in existence. Or, in every session the only way to introduce a new law is to take an old one off the books. Government exists, and has as long as there has been one, to give order to a society.

Tomayto tomahto. That’s like blaming the cartel for our drug problem when we allow it into our country.

Really?!  Just like when the Supreme Court it was unconstitutional when JoeBama was unilaterally forgiving student debt?  He had no constitutional right to to it.  But did it anyway.  Broke his oath!  So, you have to have an honest government to make your statement true.
