At least they could have made the design different than Huntsville.  It's almost identical to theirs.

I've been there for there first game against bryan rudder last season!! Beautiful complex !! Huntsville should be proud of!! Beaumont kelly has a neutral game there this season!! Next season the west orange stark vs waco la vega game will be there !!

No that stopped at the beginning of last season... Bowers Stadium may be getting upgrades soon since SHSU moved to C-USA.

If all goes well, I suspect PN-G will play a playoff game or two at Bowers, anyway.

But, went by La Porte’s soon completed digs. Really like the horseshoe/split level design. Reminds me of a smaller college style stadium. It’s looking sweet.

It all depends on if SHSU wants to host playoff games there anymore...  From what I've heard they wanted to stop hosting high school games there altogether hence one of the reasons why Huntsville has a new stadium to begin with.

That's what I was told before they broke ground on the HS stadium.

I was told by some of the staff at the high school during the duration that I worked for Huntsville ISD for the past few years.  I guess for awhile SHSU has had major events there that goes on during football season and it can't accommodate high school games any longer.  They've been talking about needing upgrades to the stadium (I wonder how is that going to happen as one knows that area is very closed in to be adding any type of upgrades to the bleachers or whatever) but I've always wondered why it took so long for Huntsville ISD to build a stadium on their on.
