Gilmer upset

Lost 22-15 to Longview pine tree.  Pine tree has sucked for a long time.  Improved a little last year and went 6-5 as a playoff team, then dropped down to 4A this year.  Not sure if they’re coming up, or if Gilmer dropped off

Less of an upset, but still a little surprising.  Carthage only beat them by 3 last year

Ik, them east Texas teams are use to each other. I think Carthage defense can get better.but, it's something still a lil off with that offense.but there coaching staff will still win them to a bunch of games.

This wasn't an upset. Trust me. This was expected by alot of folks.

Suratt nursing injury. Not sure if it is a good excuse or not.

Pine Tree is actually pretty good so I give them props. On a brighter note we gave up 68 in the season opener last year and still won a title. On a worse note we have Chapel Hill and Kilgore the next 2 weeks. We could possibly open 0-3.

@lostaussie That is an aggressive schedule. Agreed 0-3 is possible in that crowd.
