I hate being ranked #1. I know that sounds ungrateful - It’s amazing what PNG has been doing since Joseph got here. But the ranking just feels like a big distraction. You’re not #1 until you’re holding the trophy for THIS year. Until then, you just have to play the next game. I heard fans talking about “getting back to Arlington” at the game on Friday, as if it were a guarantee. I hope that poison isn’t getting to the players.

Carthage 5 point loss to Kilgore did not affect DCTF 4AD2 #1 Rank ! 

However 4AD2 Bellville's rank has declined  with the 19 point loss to Celina.

Also former #2 Gilmer slipped down to #5.

Interesting 3 top 10 teams experienced losses with minimal ranking dings.

Bellville and Carthage both lost to top 5 4A D1 teams…Gilmer didn’t BUT I personally also still think they are a top 10 team. I have no issue with all 3 being in the top 10 but arguments could be made to drop Bellville and Gilmer a little more I guess..

Maybe if Silsbee beats LCM we can make the top ten. From my understanding LCM is in the business to make everyone jealous.
