I’d set the over/under for passes at 2.

Under. Our problem is we cannot throw the ball and the defense puts 10 or 11 on the line, more than we can block. We forgot to develop a QB.

We don’t throw it but a few times a game.

Tatum wins big against Newton. Tatum 56 Newton 6

Whoa now.....pump the brakes lol. Newton has some playmakers and a lot of speed. I do like our chances but don't go to setting the bar that high lol.

Our offense isn’t built for that kind of score.

Assuming you are from Tatum. How did Keeling turn it around so quickly there. I was shocked when I saw the Daingerfield score, and by all accounts in what I have read, they are very very good this season. Curious what he has done that has made such a big difference.

Curious to why Tatum O is not built for that kind of score ?

Well obviously it can score big but ground and pound is more about clock management. Picking up first downs and eating clock.

I’m not going to get carried away and say Tatum is very very good just yet. I’ll say we are solid and the kids have bought in and like Keeling and parents like Keeling from what I understand. Talent level isn’t what it used to be but we may be cycling back around. I think we could be even better next year.

Like TDB said, it can light it up quick if you're out of position. But we took over the ball against DF in the 2nd qtr up 14-0 with like 8:15 left til the half. Reeled off a 15 play 80ish yard drive and punched it in with 35 seconds left in the half. Essentially....we played disciplined ball for 4 qtrs chipping away and waited for them to make mistakes. Either out of position on D for a big gain.....or them turn it over on offense being careless. That's what broke it wide open. We were up 34-0 at one point. Then they returned a kickoff for a TD......then we went into clock drain mode....they scored one more during that.

We've averaged 40+ a game since he arrived at Tatum with the Flexbone. Defense has been the issue. Defense is much much better this year. Much more opportunistic and aggressive.

Still running Triple Option ? No passing ?

Yes, triple option out of the flexbone with a few wrinkles here and there. Think we threw 3 passes week 1 against Winnsboro. And 3 passes last week against DF. One went for like 40 yards, other was a 26 yard TD pass, one was incomplete. We'll throw if we have to. We have some shotgun packages. We have a 6'6 receiver that's a matchup nightmare one on one.

Sounds like yall are having success with that offense.  Good luck Friday night !

I’ll give you fifty dollars if you keep the score within one touchdown. I want to see them DF fans have a meltdown. They probably had ten starters out. LOL In all honesty I hope we can give y’all good game. Good luck to y’all and may it be an injury free game.
