STiger85 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 This game is reminding of the game a couple of years ago where Silsbee had a big lead then lost at the end of the game. Quote

Not today. Silsbee coaches have done a good job preparing the kids. The conditioning needs to get better STiger85 1 Quote

BADSANTA Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 One thing Silsbee has to work on is that Center to QB snap. Lots of bad snaps rolling on the ground. Quote

Bulldogpower Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Apart from handing Silsbee two TDs inside the 1 on punts the 24-0 comeback was rolling. outanup 1 Quote
BleedBlackandGold Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 I hope I’m wrong but I think Nederland is going to have a rough time in district unless they figure out their passing game dj and KF89 1 1 Quote
Tigers94 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 It may not always be pretty, but the Tigers have exceeded expectations already this year for a lot of us fans. BADSANTA and Tiger33 2 Quote
spidersal Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 First off, nice win for Silsbee. QB looked good. Nederland has improved and has a much more fight and discipline The things I see that must be improved quickly for the Bulldogs. Defensively, the secondary is pretty poor Offensively, the passing game is not there. IMO, the QB is having to run for his life because the OL is extremely weak and the receivers don’t get open I know Silsbee got 1 called back, but have been much closer if the Bulldogs had a punter that could catch a snap. 14 points on his 2 blunders(I know he didn’t do it on purpose) and it is a team game just not 1 person’s fault BADSANTA 1 Quote
spidersal Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 For some unknown reason the Bulldogs have been missing talented secondary personnel and talented Offensive lineman the past 4-5 years Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Silsbee extends their regular season win streak to 27 games. Haven't lost a regular season game since Oct. 8, 2021. Mr. Buddy Garrity, Rez, WOSdrummer99 and 3 others 5 1 Quote
A BUC 77 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 It’s hard to say “ this lost was an improvement.” Take the penalties and blunders away and we have a win. Secondary needs improvement. QB needs to work and focus on short passes. silsbee’s #5 was fantastic. Quote

Field Judge Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 2 hours ago, tvc184 said: I thought so but apparently not You can throw it out the back of the end zone from the end zone and it is a safety. He threw it out from the one which is the same as illegal batting or illegal kicking. Ball is dead right there with a loss of down. Tiger33 1 Quote
Silsbee92 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 More thoughts.... Key Plays 1st Half 1) Nederland Punt Mishandled - 1 YD line 2) Silsbee up 21-0, Nederland fumble on Kickoff return. Ruled down....? 3) Moshier Interception on 1st Down gives ball back to Nederland and then... 3) Tezeno takes screen play and scores on 4th down. Makes it 24 - 7 Silsbee throws the ball only 5 times in 2nd Half...interception right before half was a big turning point in game plan. 2nd Half 1) Sunday pressured, Tezeno makes big catch on underthrown ball for big time 4th down conversion. Sunday rush TD result. 2) Nederland 2nd Mishandled Punt- Moshier TD 3) Thomas takes over 3rd qtr.. 2/3rd of total Rushing yds results in ridiculous 41 Yd TD off spin move. 4) Moshier 18yd touch pass to Miller on the sideline for first down. This game was closer than it seemed. Penalties/Special team mistakes doomed Nederland but the truth is that Silsbee was the better team tonight. It would have been less of an issue if not for Tezeno. 3 Huge Plays from him kept Bulldogs in it. Thomas made it clear he was the best back on the field but to little to late. Silsbee was steady. Nothing flashy, capitalized when opportunities there. It was a good game to call, excellent hospitality and great atmosphere... even if Bulldogs turned off the volume on TexanLive. outanup Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Congrats to the Tigers....Dogs gotta fix the punting woes. Tezeno is, and will be an issue. Quote
