I missed the 1st quarter of this game, but from when I got there, Iā€™ll disclose what I noticed:

1. Ā Our biggest problem is in the secondary. Ā We absolutely cannot over anyone. Ā You have guys running past us, catching over the top of us. Ā 
Ā 

2. Up front, we tackle every other play. Ā If itā€™s a running play, every other play is guaranteed that weā€™ll give the other team a first down. Ā Arm tackling and just all out of position. Ā 
Ā 

3. We donā€™t block. Ā And after watching the o-Line coach interact with the linemen, he doesnā€™t have a clue.

4. This is the 3rd game and we still have problems getting the offensive plays in on time. Ā Still have to call timeouts to prevent the delay of game. Ā 
Ā 

5. Ā Our snap counts are predictable. Ā Nimitz blitzed all night and was able to get a beat on the snap all mighty.

6. Our QB threw like 6 interceptions tonight. Ā That will get you ran off the field EVERY TIME. Ā Backup QB shouldā€™ve been inserted after halftime. Ā Game was over at that point. Ā

7. 2nd week in a row while weā€™re getting beat down I see kids smiling, dancing and goofing off on the sidelines. Ā Totally unacceptable.

8. This is the 3rd year with this coaching staff and thereā€™s no excuses for this. Ā Itā€™s time to go a new direction and when I say that, EVERYONE needs to find something else to do. Ā

9. I asked a few BU fans a question and couldnā€™t get an answer. Ā Is this Nimitz team more talented and athletic than us? Ā One guy said they are more athletic than us. Ā My follow up question is was PNG more talented and athletic than us? Ā (Because it was the same type of are whipping that we took. Ā Only difference is PNG took it easy on us). Ā I didnā€™t get an answer. Ā

10. Ā There is a die hard BU fan that was at the game. Ā The man has had 2 sons that came through this program. Ā He has a child currently on the team now and itā€™s a shame that this program is doing this disservice. BU started 2018. Ā The football program should. Be farther along in year 7. Ā

11. Nimitz is a good team and I can see why they went 3 rounds deep in the 6a playoffs last year. Ā Their WRā€™s are nice.

12. Ā There is a person that Iā€™m holding responsible for the state of affairs of Beaumont football. Ā They havenā€™t taken accountability on it but someone needs to go another direction with them as well. Ā

13. Ā From this point forward until the season ends, Iā€™m going to start rating my level of embarrassment when we lose. Ā On a scale of 1-10. Ā

I'm sorry for the last 2 weeks Soulja.Ā  I was impressed with the numbers and enthusiasm when I watched them scrimmage Channelview.

However

I see the secondary problems still exist.

I see that the Oline being inconsistant would cause Deshotel to throw pick(trying to compensate for being behind)

And I see, based on the last 2 weeks of your commentary, Colbert doesn't have command of the sideline

Me thinks the United players will get up for PA and WB but will lose enthusiasm if they get behind

      Believe Sealy gets one of their better receivers back this week. He was limited to holding on XP this week. Ā Key will be whether you can get to Sealy QB. Ā  Ā  Robinson abandoned the run game completely and had some very head scratching coaching decisions. Ā Combine that with not being able to deep snap without it going over the punterā€™s head and they had no chance.Ā

      When I comment on a game like this, I try to do it analytically, as opposed to speaking as a homer. I have not followed LaPorte much at all this year until recently. It seems LP is a well oiled machine humming along at full strength with the capability to neutralize almost anyone. LP employs a brutal ground and pound attack that beats down their opponents with D-1 athletes running the ball. The LP defense is very stingy, and LP has a perfect 7-0 district record.Ā Ā  BH, OTOH, is a team that achieved a third seed via a point differential tiebreaker, and playoffs were not assured until the final district game. BH lost its lone D-1 athlete RB1 on the opening drive of the very first game. Multiple injuries has BH playing with a bunch of Sophs stepping in the skill positions (I still don't know all their names) albeit with a decently good O-line. BH appears to be overmatched here, but has to go out and play the game like they have nothing to lose Friday night. Thats all they can do. If BH's effort is maxxed out, thats all anyone can ask. LP is the clear favorite regardless. Glad to be playing at GPISD! Easy travel for all.Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā

      Well, this time I was on the sidelines. The Mustang sidelines as well.Ā  Now I do know that it's tough to blitz a team that uses 4 sometimes 5 wide. That's a lot to cover.

      Dang it. iā€™m allowing myself to get drug into a long-winded debate. Something Iā€™m not good at but you are. I mean that as a compliment. But here goes anyway. I totally agree with your statement. There will come a day when we will all have to be accountable for our own actions. Thank God for his grace but thatā€™s not what Iā€™m talking about. However, our nation can collectively prosper or take a down hill slide, according to our acceptance or rejection of Him and his word. The Bible is his rule. The constitution is also our rule, but the interpretations over the years have been warped to fit certain political agendas. We canā€™t expect godā€™s favor and protection while rejecting him. Abortion, no prayer in schools, no Bible in schools, no 10 Commandments in public buildings, etc. I believe in freedom of religion. However, Christianity is becoming a bigger target and anti-Semitism is on the rise while honoring other religions is growing. Anyone that canā€™t see the moral decay in our country is not looking through the right lens. Ā  2 Chronicles 7:14Ā states, ā€œIf my people, who are called by my name, willĀ humblethemselves andĀ prayĀ andĀ seek my faceĀ andĀ turn fromĀ their wicked ways, then will IĀ hearĀ from heaven and willĀ forgiveĀ their sin and willĀ healĀ their land.ā€
