4A D2 #3 Bellville at 3A #6 Hitchcock Thursday

I saw the game in person. Honestly I was not much impressed with it. Until the 4th it was a quite game with low energy on the sidelines and in the stadium. Bellville looked uninspired much of the night. Big #99 did not impress me at all. He was very slow. Hitchcocks D was the bright spot. They did do a fine job but then again Bellville was uninspired. Hitchcocks O was average but I left feeling with all their atleticism they should have scored more. Not trying to shade either team, just an honest evaluation of a single game that didn't live up to the hype. I feel both are capable of more and will probably be better come playoff time. Just my 2 cents.

Nice honest assessment… I agree with a lot of that… Did you get to watch Bellville last year?

I do think Hitchcock has gotten better with out a doubt. Bellville offense looked slow and did not run the slot t well. This is a great confidence booster for them but can't let it go to their head. I want to see how they handle Columbus.

Kinda what I was seeing from Franklin last night vs Celina… jk I’m just poking fun lol

While I agree… let’s remember Bellville is missing a big weapon in Corian Hood… 1600 yards last year and he gets the nasty yards and can break one… but yes this is disappointing

i'm guessing thats the kid with the foot injury that was sitting in the endzone behind the goal post...

Yes it was… I hate it for him… damn good kid. Small chance he makes it back for playoffs but most likely ain’t happening

Yes I was. Thursday night was open and this game got so much attention we decided to go. I had no idea anyone was going to be there, except perhaps BBfan061. Thanks for the thought, though. So you are a PAM poster who lives in Hitchcock?

Difference is we only returned 5 on offense and have to get the oline to gel. That was supposed to be yalls strength this season. We ran the ball well on them when we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot. But we shot ourselves all night long and can't do that against a team like Celina. I think we had 4 or 5 fumbles and no telling how many penalties. We have some stuff to clean up but nothing that can't be fixed.

    • Yeah, BH put up 62, but some of that was OT. In any case its hard to believe they could only score 10 on GB. Equally hard to believe GB could only score 3 on AMC!
    • Resumes' matter. No, they don't win games but they matter. LP has a much better resume' this year, while BH had to scratch just to get into the playoffs, and has an almost all Soph fill in skill team. LP is easily the favorite.
    • I woke up this morning with an Eagle flying overhead, being the good tracker I am i believe it's an omen and the Igles will pull this one out. My brain says LP but the Eagle said BH.
    • This is the same Gball team that gave up like 50 to BH right? AMC either had a bad night or that district is a paper tiger.
