Indian Stadium is not a hostile environment.šŸ˜‰Ā  We bring the purple warm fuzzy love that any PNG Indian Fan has toward a visiting team.Ā  If were a little loud, well then, that just makes the experience more memorable for the other teams players & coaches.Ā šŸ¤£

See you on the field Lake Creek.Ā  You will hear us from the stands, for sure!

Yeah, that's what the LC coach is pretty much saying on his weekly interview broadcast. (I don't have the link handy - I saw it on another forum.)Ā  Just paraphrasing here, but he basically says that PNG is just not as physical as last season's team. Besides that he says that PNG only plays their best in the first half. Gave up lots of yards to LaPorte. He ain't worried about home field advantage, heck they've played in "more hostile" places - like the Woodlands, for example.Ā  LC already has this Friday's game won, in their minds.Ā  PNG had better be on their toes.Ā

Not as physical on offense? That is funny.Ā

I thought that you are #9's mom, but I've just now noticed that it's "mon", not "mom".Ā  Anyway, yeah I think that PNG and Ned are two of the best crowds in the area.Ā  Noisy, but no cow bells or air horns. An occasional duck call, maybe.Ā Ā

I think LC severely underestimates actually PLAYING against La Porte. LPā€™s offense hasnā€™t been the issue. TOā€™s have.

If PNG can control the edges better than they did against LP, they should be okay. PNG will be able to key on one very good RB against LC instead of worrying about 2 like against LP.

From what Iā€™ve read, the LC RB had about 1450 yards last year. Very good year. LPā€™s had 1700+ and 1000+ respectively in fewer games.

Take care of the ball, and pound it up the middle.

Lc rb was not even the factor in last year's playoff game!!

The coach said that Texas High was the most hostile. Ā I didnā€™t hear anything that sounded over confident. Ā He knows PNG will be loud and he felt that his team can block out the noise. Ā The interviewer was the one that stated PNG plays their best in the 1st half and LC plays better late.Ā
Basically, PNG comes out of the gate and executes, so if you make mistakes early, youā€™re going to be behind. Ā I think it will be a great game. Ā Iā€™ll say PNG gets the win but I wonā€™t be surprised if LC can pull the upset.

Yea, I wonder who drew up the schedule. Ā Crazy that PNG starts with the Top 2 contestants. Ā You would think there would be a few lambs to slaughter before the big fights begin. Ā

Better to get them over with and then start setting the dinner table. Lake Creek is PNGs only concern right now. They are on the clock and its ticking. That coach is underestimating us, he should be ready for a war lol! I can hear the Indiannettes now " Blood, Blood, Blood makes the grass grow"

My screen name comes from the fact that I went to my 1st PNG Football game when I was 9 months old. (png9mon)

I have missed 10 PNG Football games in my entire life.Ā  5 During the Covid season where us Season Ticket Holders were only allowed to go to 5 regular season games.Ā  I have seen somewhere in the 600s in total PNG football games.

Love those Indians!!!

Off topic a bit perhaps, but LP sort of reminded me of playing Texas City the past two seasons, but with two Caleb Bells instead of one.Ā

If PNG expects to win this district we are going to have to stay focused & treat each game like a playoff game.Ā  Our coaches are phenomenal.Ā  Indians are always well prepared.Ā  Need to execute the game plan & take the win over LC.Ā  As I mentioned before:Ā  RUN, RUN, RUN!!!šŸˆ

These first two games will be tough. LC and Huntsville were dang good last year and Huntsville I think has a lot back. Anyone of these teams can go at least three deep or more. Limit the turnovers and keep LC offense off the field. I think PNG can do it, but we will see.Ā

Huntsville is already hyping up next weeks game. They are calling for a blackout. Goodluck all tonight except MLC. However safe travels and prayers for a safe game. Any MLC folks the Wheelhouse would be a great place for a pregame meal. Very close great view and good food.

    • naw, maaaaybe 7, definitely not 8 deep.Ā  today im avoiding sitting by #10s parents, had to move away yesterday.Ā  Ā "put my son back in jub, put my son back in"Ā  and then crying on every little touch of someone.Ā  Ā  lets ball out today ktz! Ā  Ā
    • Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.Ā  We'll be at McNeese this Friday night at 6pm.
    • I donā€™t benefit from it, thatā€™s not my area. Ā But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway. Ā These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but Iā€™m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So whatā€™s the point? Ā We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime? Ā And I donā€™t know I can say we have ā€œcomplicatedā€ it. Which appeal should we cut out? Ā Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck? Ā Or do we not pay for an indigent personā€™s experts at the trial court level because itā€™s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they werenā€™t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we havenā€™t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money? Ā Seems to me to be an obvious solution but Iā€™m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
