Game added for tonight: West Hardin at Trinity

Recommended Posts

Since Colmesneil had to forfeit against Trinity and KIPP 7 canceled yesterday morning against West Hardin, the Oilers will now travel to Trinity tonight to take on the Tigers. Game time is 7pm.

My personal opinion. If I am the head coach of the West Hardin's and the Sabine Pass's of the world, I would never ever schedule a KIPP school. They cancel more times than they play.

Let's not beat around the bush here. We know why these teams get scheduled. Easy win to put on the schedule. But IMO it's just not worth losing a game to play. I know there are other teams that could be scheduled. If you lose one or two, so be it. But at least you got to play a game.

I am glad West Hardin decided to get with Trinity and play tonight. Good for both teams.

KIPP schools are synonymous for cancelling and they will do it last minute ESPECIALLY if it has to do with a road game.  I agree .... leave them off of the schedule!  It's not worth the headache.  However, what is the story with Colmesneil?  Why did they cancel?

Stated they had too many injuries to field a varsity team this week.

They were coming off two consecutive wins.

    • My wagers for the week: Texas Tech -3  Georgia Tech/Louisville Over 57.5 USC/Michigan Under 44 Utah/Okie State Under 52.5 LSU -22.5 Tennessee/Oklahoma Under 57.5 Oklahoma +7 ULM +44.5
    • In regards to sub varsity games, I will put my money on any 5A DI JV vs. a 4A DII JV.  Larger schools will always have better sub varsity teams than schools three divisions smaller. So take that 34-0 win with a grain of salt. I think tonight's game will be the hardest test for Silsbee so far this season. Bruins will have the team speed to give the Tigers some problems. I got Silsbee winning by 10.
