B.C. QB can sling it. accurate passer from the pocket & on the run. Made every throw on the field with solid arm strength.

I like his running ability a little better right now. Seen him straight up truck a kid couple weeks ago.

This district need not sleep on Huffman.

Just sayin

they've taken a big step back to what they were a couple of years ago, and are in the right district to have a good shot at making the playoffs, maybe even make a run at a DC or top-2 finish.

9-4A teams (the district y'all ran from) scheduled teams like Hitchcock (twice), Carthage, Nederland (twice), Newton, La Vega, Episcopal, Chapel Hill, various 5A schools, etc., and you think it's funny nobody is impressed with y'all's schedule?  Most of 9-4A's easiest pre-district games are against last year's playoff teams from your new district.  Lumberton and LCM are "tested".  They made a real schedule to prepare for district. It is what it is. Enjoy the easy schedule and improved team and quit trying to make it something it isn't, or make y'all out to be something y'all aren't (disrespected).

The entire district is down and has been with the exception of Lumberton the past couple years and Vidor and LCM the year or two before that.  If BC wants a good measuring stick.... make the playoffs and beat a team from district 9.

the thing is this: it's not a great district. In fact, it's a bad district. Lumberton, who's been the "really good" team of the district the past couple of years has exactly 3 playoff wins in 3 years, and now they're way down even from that level. having said this, there's absolutely nothing wrong with fans of a team that hasn't had a great deal of success in the recent past being proud of their team winning a bad district, or even just doing pretty good in that district. If BC has improved enough to beat Vidor, Huffman, Lumberton, LCM, etc., and can finish in the top 3 of the district, they have a lot to be happy about.  I'm just having a hard time with the BC fans who have the "we're being disrespected and overlooked" mindset when they haven't even beaten a 4A school yet this year.

they've played a 3A pre-district schedule and are in one of the weakest districts in the state.  The 3A schools they've beaten are mostly down from last year, and they aren't exactly playing Hitchcock or Columbus. What kind of credibility are you looking for?  I think plenty of people are giving Bridge City CREDIT for showing a lot of improvement, but nobody is gonna start acting like they're one of the best teams in the area if they beat a depleted, winless Lumberton team to start 4-0 and give them the credibility that you're looking for.  So having said all of that, it's important that BC fans sit back and enjoy what should be one of the best seasons y'all have had in quite awhile, without trying to demand that everyone pretend that what you're doing is a big deal.  BC was smart to opt up, and it should lead to them doing better in district this year, but they would've finished no better than 5th if they'd stayed put, so you guys are gonna have to pump the brakes on wanting a bunch of credibility or being considered "tested" or whatever it is you're looking for.

This is 100% correct.

No one is or should talk about BC like they're the best program in the area. The "credit" that has already been given on the improvement from years past. It's fun as a BC fan to have confidence that BC has a chance to win week in and week out. Not being an easy win on the schedule for other teams in the district is a very different, and enjoyable feeling than in recent years.

Teams that are legit don't have to announce they are good, people will know.
