UNLV Backup was 13-16 for 182 yards 3 TD’s with 12 rushes for 119 yards and another TD in a blowout win over Fresno St.  Maybe he is better than the dude that quit.

I am beginning to think this wasn't on the university but the player, his family and his agent wanting to get more. Try to exploit his position.

I felt that way from the beginning. Unless the University promised him something in writing then this situation is on him and his handlers.

Georgia will drop to 5, Bama should take their spot @ 2. Some may say they should be 1st, which is alright by me. I just want to keep winning enough game to be in the final 12. #1 sure looks good on burnt orange, but isn’t needed to play for the championship.

If Bama would have won in blow out fashion give them #1 hands down… but giving up a huge lead like that ehh not so sure.. regardless they are 1 or 2 and Texas will be the other one imo.

Except the universities can’t and won’t put this stuff in writing.  The tendency is to think of the schools as virtuous and the players as greedy.  But I can say with 100 percent certainty that the kids are being promised things right and left by coaches (often times the assistants to shield the HC) that they have no intention of fulfilling.  Once kids wise up and start recording these conversations, those who don’t know how this stuff truly works will be enlightened.  And I say this if as someone with sons both playing and coaching D1 (and to be clear, neither has been a culprit or a victim in this, just know plenty who have).
