with this score, does this kind of pre determine how the HF vs silsbee game is going to go?  will HF run it up on silsbee this year?   i wish hitchcock would of played WOS so they can run thru the top 3 in that 4a district.

Ehh I don’t think it does.. Silsbee is missing some key guys… HF only beating Stafford 34-14 is something… Stafford is okay but their offense was pretty rough vs Bellville in week 2… but that was week 2 and they could’ve improved since.

I agree. I have confidence that when everyone is back we should be fine against HF. WOS is who i have my eyes on. They have seniors and talent.

Yeah but even WOS played a semi close ish game with Crawford .. so idk I think HF, Silsbee, and WOS all have a chance to win district. Good news is in Bi District y’all get a extremely bad district matchup and I’d bet my house that yalls district sweeps them

To be honest, I think our rep in Dallas is kinda up for grabs at this point among all the teams mentioned above, but I don’t see anybody from 3 and 4, that’s gonna compete with Carthage n Champuonship? But a lot of water going under the bridge before we get there. All fun

Was told, OL played best they played this year, running backs struggling. Hitchcock safeties and Line Backers, reading the run, and coming up to stop. Hitchcock only weakness was there blocking , there skill players were able to overcome it

I was on the sidelines. OL had some troubles. #54 and #44 disrupted many plays. The Hitchcock front 4 was pretty dominant. Silsbee had to play NG #50 Walker both ways to help out on offensive line.

Because that front 4 was able to disrupt, that freed up the Bulldog LB's to make plays. Silsbee couldn't get to them to block because of what the DL was doing to our OL.

And the Silsbee fans thought they were really really really good. Appears that they have many things to improve on

Yes they will make the playoffs, probably the #2 or #3 spot and 2 to 3 rounds deep

I still think we are good. We finally came across a worthy opponent the rest were just hog slop

I'm going to need @bullets13 to come in here and explain how Hitchcock is not 32 points better than Silsbee. He needs to give us the "what if's" and show how these two teams are much closer and the game was much closer than what the score showed.

I just don't have that skill set to explain those type things. LOL

You come at me with this and then do it yourself a post later 🤦🏻‍♂️ that was the point I would make, though 😉

No, but HF looked a lot better against them, or at least against their defense.  That said, Silsbee had several key pieces out.  If they’re healthy by the time they play HF, I expect a close game.  I THINK HF is the better team, but not by so much that a win is a foregone conclusion.

I don't think any Silsbee fan had that mindset. Most are very surprised they started off 4-0 (now 4-1).

You lose a senior class in 4A DII like the one that just came through, you naturally will drop in expectations and reality.

As we saw the last 2 years, the district games involving , Silsbee, WOS, HF, and Jasper, all went down to the last plays of the games. So the finishing order of these 4, will not surprise me. Looks like Bellville might be human this year, so they all got a shot at a deep run, shame u have to play 5 a Carthage in a 4a div 2 championship. Lol
