Huntsville is better than LC . Offense isn’t as explosive but that doesn’t matter. They’re not impenetrable on defense, but they’re consistent. We’ll be able to move the ball on them. They have two extremely good RBs. If we don’t tackle well in the open field we’re looking at a long night on defense.

101.7 seems to think it, highly unlikely the actual Huntsville Hornets do though.

I always thought Brenham was their rival. Been to a couple football games with those two and it sure felt like a rivalry game each time.

That's the most logical sense!! There not district rivals this year in football but in all other sports there district rivals !!

Brenham has been a long time rival for Huntsville going back decades, but until recently they generally have not been in the same district.  I think the two coaches have a good working relationship and I’m glad that they are scheduling each other for non district.   Other than Brenham, I don’t think there is a rival.  Back in the old days, Navasota was also.   101.7 apparently has a different definition of rivalry.  It is a rematch of last years Region final, but that’s about it.  Probably just trying to promote a big ballgame.

Huntsville is just another team. We loathe them, but we’re not “in” loathe with them.

Visitor holds 2600 i went to there first game at the new stadium against bryan rudder very nice beautiful stadium and complex!! There new baseball softball complex is beautiful to!!

Vistor side is very small for a school like theirs.  PNG fans will fill it out so if I'm a Indian fan you better leave early and get there around 5 because they still have traffic and construction nearby the high school.

That’s sad to hear.. won’t get to many playoff games with small visitors side. But thanks for the info!

I’m sure they didn’t plan on hosting playoff games anyway cause there’s several much larger stadiums around that area but it would be a nice facility for some of the 1a, 2a, 3a playoff games

For most of 4A-D1 and up of course but 4A-D2 and down there will be many of playoff games here soon.  If I can remember correctly last season they were talking about this season that they would host at least 3 playoff games here and all 3 games different classifications.  In reality and this is just my opinion I think the games that they are referring to is for mostly 3A-D1 teams.

Well if anyone can remember what I said in a previous thread SHSU won't be hosting any playoff games in their stadium period so the only playoff games that you can play in that area is either Huntsville's new stadium, Madisonville or Conroe (Morehead).  I would have said Willis' stadium but it's very rare that they host playoff games there.

Lcm played Palestine in willis in 2021 bidistrict!!

Huntsville is a great location to get playoff games in Region 3, below the 5A level.   They finally have the facilities for not only football, but baseball and softball too.  Those two sports had to play all those years at the ghetto city fields.  I know the players were embarrassed when teams from Montgomery County came to play.  I think there will be a lot of playoff games coming in the future.  Mart football played in Huntsville last year, and I know Liberty softball played two series there.  Great for fans.  Sorry I’m off subject.

That's the last one that I know of but since then unless it was very low classifications then no.
