Pack should win by a few scores, but we’ve had some close ball games with WB in the past, so we will see. I know they’ve had a coaching change since we’ve last played them. I just hope we can get the win and keep our remaining guys healthy.

Definitely have to get outta this one healthy. On paper it's a mismatch but they will have the athletes to matchup in some areas. Westbrook is already drastically improved from a year ago and might be headed in the right direction. Lufkin needs to continue to improve and clean up the little things.

Lufkin wins this game, maybe not 56-7, will see..  West Brook is playing at home and Lufkin is coming off the big win over BH, and the Bruins have had two weeks to prepare. The travel won't bother Lufkin, because they've traveled forever as a program. Lufkin has already traveled to Texarkana 3 hrs to play Little Rock SW (W 57-12) and 1.5 hrs to Tyler (W 39-27) .  This one is no problem either.

The head scratcher in the WB schedule is they played a close game against Eisenhower, then barely beat Lumberton and lost to Silsbee.  Something is not quite right when a 5A DI program barely beats a 4A DI school Lumberton and then loses to a 4A DII Silsbee.  I think the BWB defense might be the strength of their team while the O struggles to score.  Just saying Lufkin, PAM, BH and Ball win over those two 4A teams by several scores and sit the starter after the half.  Lufkin will be without a few starters again this week, LB, WR, QB and maybe a RB.  Thankful the team has depth this year.  Looking forward to off week after Friday to get healthy.

Anyway this could easily be a let down game for Lufkin if they are not careful, I think they already know this and are preparing for that not to happen.

    • Any team will have a long road trip.  Looking at District 7, the 4 seed could be Nacogdoches, Whitehouse, Hallsville, or Mt. Pleasant.  That’s between 1:45 and 3:30 trips to Huntsville.  Add another hour if it’s to PNG.  Pretty sure they wont be packing the house in a game where they are sacrificial lambs. Plenty of room.
    • I think the Stros were and are great.  Just too many injuries and such  and had to replace some folks with ones that maybe didn't live up to their hopeful results. However, they made some good goices along the way also.  I think it's normal to second guess managers etc or it would not be baseball.  You can please some of the people some of the time but never please all anytime. LOL give it a rest and hope for the best.
    • Basketball (and all other sports) are going to divisions like football. Div. 1 and Div. 2. But, unlike football, the divisions are not determined until after district play. The two highest enrollment teams of the four who make the playoffs will be the Division 1 reps and the other two teams will be the Division 2 reps. You will have a #1 and #2 seed in each division. No more #3 and #4 seeds even though teams will finish 3rd and 4th in their respective districts. In football, the districts are already put in divisional districts. Basketball for the next two years will divide after district play. Next realignment all the districts will be divisional districts like football.
    • Could you fill me in on this “split”? Been awhile for too long I guess, no idea what that entails.
