The bill creates a new statutory authority for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to close the border to people seeking asylum after certain “trigger numbers” have been met. The one thing your word document said correctly is The President has the power alone to shut down the border (just like Trump did).....Which is why Trump is double digits ahead of Harris on the border
