SmashMouth Posted October 4 Report Posted October 4 Coach Drake was a special man. He coached for French high school when they won the state championship in 1984. Like many coaches, he coached at many different schools. Silsbee, Lumberton, French, Central were a few schools where he coached. He will be greatly missed. He was recently recognized for his accomplishments and character being named to the Silsbee High School Wall of Honor. He was buried today in his hometown of Silsbee, Texas. I was lucky to know him. 1970 Posted October 4 Report Posted October 4 May he rest in peace, and may God comfort his family and friends at this time. That Silsbee High School Wall of Honor says a lot, IMO. It's the real deal, and Coach Drake must have also been the real deal. spidersal 1 Quote
