STiger85 Posted October 9 Report Posted October 9 Big senior class for HF with just the right mixture of underclassman to make a very good and talented team. You have seen and could tell of their growth each year. My Tigers will have to be focused and disciplined and determined to win this game. Maybe this will be HF and that senior class year to get over that hump to beat Silsbee, then again maybe not. Silsbee has some questions that need to be answered starting this week. Will our young Oline take that next step in growing up, on the job training? Will our offense protect the ball and no turnovers? Will our Dline be able to maintain the line of scrimmage? Will our secondary be able to keep up with the passing of HF? Will our HC not get hurt this year during this game? This should be a very exciting, playoff atmosphere, game. Well, y’all know me I’m a homer and picking Silsbee to win. Are you ready? BBfan061 and BADSANTA 2 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted October 9 Report Posted October 9 HF is still a very good and dangerous team but the Augustine loss is very big. No if and's or buts about it. BADSANTA 1 Quote
BADSANTA Posted October 10 Report Posted October 10 Silsbee OL had a hard time moving Hitchcock around but maybe able to get the running game going again this week if Farr is back. Id like to see less of Farr in the backfield since he starts on both sides of the ball, but he is the best RB we have. I do liek the way the freshman runs the ball. Get him in some space and he can move. Still a little light in thr pants but he will be good. Quote

I do agree the oline has to start gelling together to move people off the ball where we can run the ball more consistently Quote
BOSoxfan4life Posted October 10 Report Posted October 10 Thanks. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery. Quote

Future looks really good Quote

Tigers94 Posted October 11 Report Posted October 11 Seventh graders are going to be legit in football and basketball. As for this game, how banged up are we still? If we're still missing a lot of kids, I think HF takes this one. If not, I think the Tigers pull out a victory. I just hope this team didn't peak at the start of the season. Quote

Some going to give it a try though. HF lost their star RB for the season so that will hurt them some. Keys for Silsbee: can they get pressure on HF QB and can the secondary hold up? Be curious if Silsbee plays zone or man coverage. On offense, Silsbee has to be successful running the ball. If not, I expect HF to bring the house to disrupt the Tiger passing game. I can see HF attempting at minimum 35 passes tonight. They will test Silsbee's secondary like Hitchcock did. Tigers have been pretty good at stopping the run so HF will definitely be chunking it a lot tonight. Quote

Tigers prob did better against Hitchcock, especially if u take away the 2 Interception returns. Tigers actually made Hitchcock punt several times. This game will go down to the last plays , before decided. Just like the last 2 years, and 18, and 19 years. I'll never forget that blocked field goal to end the game , in 19. I'm thinking this will be one of those games. Quote
