Dang, after Montgomery laid the wood to Lake Creek last week, this wasn't the outcome that I was expecting. Huntsville turned the page from last week.

In the little I watched, Montgomery didn’t look very big.  PNG’s O-line should push them around pretty easily.

Nice job by Huntsville getting past a tough loss in the PN-G game and focusing on Montgomery.  Easier said than done.  Huntsville has a physical defense. They tackle people. Not surprised the Hornets were able to contain a good Montgomery team.

Huntsville had a good defense plan against Montgomery. Pretty much made the qb beat them with his arm. Montgomery qb is not Lake Creek qb. Throwing it up for grabs most of the time. PNG needs to take note, which i am sure they will. Stop the run and keep them off the field.

I agree.  The Montgomery QB had a couple of scrambles for 14-20 yards.  But that was it.  The Hornet defense knew the game plan.  Montgomery is a big play offense, but through 3 Qtrs, they only had 2 plays over 30 yards.  They did get a few chunk plays in the 4th Qtr.  I don’t know if Huntsville relaxed with the 26-3 lead, but the game got interesting for a bit.  TD, onside kick, TD and it was 26-18.  The Montgomery receivers did get open a few times, but it did seem mostly like #12 was just throwing it up there. The Hornet pass rush had something to do with that. The Hornet defense is starting to play really well.

I'm not surprised Huntsville won, I'm surprised Montgomery only scored 18.

Season low for the Bears.  They averaged 49 points coming in.  It will be a challenge to score 30 on this Huntsville defense.
