Was BH injured players not know prior to pickems and the poll. PAM needs to see what qb2 can do jones is an athlete and can be used as Wr. ….

Why is Martin not getting bulk of carries?

Why play riles both ways and not use him?

… Mouse was wrong but right teams will understand that QB1 ain’t beating nothing with arm alone.

Get healthy BH and make a run.

I dont think so. About Wednesday I started hearing rumors that all of these guys were out! Tripp has been out most of the year then returned last game and ran the kickoff back to the 10 yard line and never came back in. Cooper came back after 3 games and scored 2 TD's in the 1st half. Morton leads the team in TD's and has played everygame and no idea what happened to him. BH had all starters out of the game by halftime last week.

BH got inside the 2 on Two questionable PIs. You was right about QB wrong on the rest. That’s Just honest. Wrong about our record coming out of non district wrong about this game. Wrong about us fighting for 4th place.

We were never going to be in 4th regardless Unless injury bug occurred. 🙄

Someone mentioned Jamar Sanders little brother is a qb at memorial… if he not starting next year… it’s a problem at the head of the snake

Ppl seem to forget that sanders couldn’t throw either. And how sanders even tho a sophomore his first year started really struggled. That year. And even with the accolades wasn’t a passer in any form.

Sanders passing and decision making was way better than jones. Uncle Keitha was spot on about nephew. A loss tonight he probably would’ve quit on his team

Ppl going to have a problem with the QB regardless of who it is regardless of year. Is what it is.

You think WB is a gimmie??? Going back to last year ANY team can beat memorial at this point. Tonight’s game shouldn’t have been this close with none of BH main guys playing

Our QB two years ago brought a lot to the table. Yes he forced  passes onto pics at times, but u had to RESPECT him as a defender. Big, strong, can run and had a cannon. Jones is frail, looks lost, have happy feet, and doesn’t scare any team

Season not over . Still can lose the last 3 like last year. Wrong about this game??? Ok they won, but I’m sure everyone in that stadium knew it was over… AGAINST A TEAM WITHOUT THEIR STARTERS. Run it back against a healthy BH and taste that L.  Matter of fact run it back against errbody they win 2 games

Most know. Some want problems. Gives em something to talk about. We won, on to WB.

I get it. We played with an offense where I didn't even recognize the players. Except for the QB most all the skill guys are out. It is amazing how many injuries BH has had the past 2 years. Beyond crazy. So BH fumbles twice in first 90 seconds. Recovered both but killed the drive. Not a great start. BH is behind 13-3 but is gifted with the ball on the 2 right before half. One play to get a crucial score. No recievers available, no passing game working, so instead sending our big QB plowing ahead into the endzone...we pass for yet another incompletion. Fail. Our big QB had daylight to run into. He would have made it. A golden opportunity lost.

Second half BH D plays well and O gets going with the O-line paving the way. BH claws back and has enough but limited time to make a winning drive at the end. First set, our QB runs right and could easily pick up 1st down, but decides to hook slide again way too early. He is one of the most physical players on the team but plays like he is a fragile item in bubble wrap. You cannot play like this especially in crunch time of a crunch game. If the idea is to keep him from taking any hits, what are we saving him for at this point? BH implodes at the 2 again as time expires to end the game. Another golden opportunity lost. Even with BH decimated with injuries, this game was entirely winnable.

We are now 1-2 in district, 5th place, with Ball still ahead. Yes, some starters might come back, but probably thats too little too late. At best we are locked into 4th place with a bad path ahead. Might even lose to WB and miss playoffs. I dunno. The larger question is, can our QB ever play wide open and lay it all out to win? Clearly he is not the best passer, he is wildly inaccurate at times, so why not play directly to his strength? He could be a LOAD to bring down if he would just run wide open. If that would have happened tonight, we win.

4th place in District might be better than 2nd or third. We match up with Houston ISD in round 1. Our District will sweep Houston ISD’s! Then in round 2 you play a 2 or 3 seed instead of a number 1. BH may be in a good spot especially if they can get healthy!

Second round would be Weiss or College Station. Not a good draw.

With Morton both of those are winnable games especially Weiss. Lufkin has beaten Consolidated the last 2 years when we weren't even that good. Those are good teams in that district but maybe a tad bit overrated. Just get healthy come playoff time.

    • Ok. Here me out. I hate generalizing but bear with me.    this has always been my issue with the Double Wing T / Slot T / Wing T.    it’s not that it’s not a good offensive scheme it actually is very good.    That type of offense is absolutely brutal to not only the running back and the quarterback, but also the lineman. To complicate things even further most of your athletes on offense, skill players will be playing on defense where they will get the majority of the contact.    By the time the player gets to mid third-quarter or fourth, the skill players are completely exhausted from running up to middle and being tackled every 3 yards x 6 people on top of them and then have to turn around and run and chase the other offense down.    Cold spring running back was absolutely destroying the line of scrimmage, gaining 3/4 yards at a time and he did that for about 50/60 yards and his body just gave out he was probably exhausted because he probably played 70 to 80% of all the place. Playing 80% of the plays on both offense or defense is completely different at running back then at wide receiver like Travis Hunter.     all this to say is the running of the wing T double wing T slot T is OK for liberty Hill because they have 5/6 running backs that are just as good as the starter but even two years ago injury caused them to lose a very big game, by a lot of points against PNG     even though Orangefield‘s running back had 34 carries the majority of those carries were out on the flank and where he was only tackled by a few players, whereas Coldsprings  running backs were tackled by five or six of Orangefield players, and that wears a kids body down   None of what I’m saying is science all I’m saying is based off the last 14 years of seeing Orangefield run that kind of often it took a toll on running backs for the last 12 years the only one I can think that did not get hurt during his career was The kid that got 2,000 in a season.
    • What a tough 5A district with 4 teams ranked in the top 20. Should be fun to see it play out.
    • Y’all need to stop ragging on Weak Brook and instead send them all the positive energy that you can so that they can become Strong Brook and beat New Baytown on Nov 8. BTW, for those who don’t know, nothing irritates a Mont Belvieu/Barber’s Hill resident more than calling their town “New Baytown” and their High School “New Baytown High”.  I’ve already got an Old Man in my inbox on here mad because I slandered his precious team.  Just thought I’d mention it since we’re discussing school nicknames and stuff like that.
