Going to be tough. I just don’t think Nederland’s defense can stop Lake Creek and if they slow Thomas down it could doom the Bulldogs due to a weak passing game

Rooting for Nederland but LC will probably win this. Ned has a chance though with LC’s subpar run defense this year. It could be close.

My gut says LC, but I’ve never been less confident about a pick. 

LC is fast and big. It’s going to be a challenge containing their explosive offense. LC’s receivers know how to get open, and Eli Marcos is one of the best high school qbs around. 

On the other hand, Nederland should be able to move the ball. The way LC does their defense you basically only have to make one guy miss. Nederland’s offense seems to be coming together. And, Nederland has been playing pretty good defense. 

Emotions might play a factor. The way the district is looking as of this moment, this is basically a playoff game. How will the two teams handle the big moment?

I think Nederland has become much more balanced than at the start of the season.  Sunday has been playing really well and so has the offensive line.  The competition is about to get a lot tougher but I expect Coach Rich will have several wrinkles we haven’t seen.  Losing Ladner this past Friday was a huge blow and it will take everyone stepping up to fill his absence.

 It’s a little baffling how close LC has their safeties play to the box. If they don’t have the players for that scheme what are the coaches thinking?

The best thing LC does is make off schedule plays with the QB. He is elusive and keeps his eyes down field. Nederland DB's will have to play very sound defense on the backend. Thomas should have a huge game on offense.

Cant see my Dogs keeping up LC.......They were really explosive against the Injuns. LC by a couple scores....

Nederland is very much improved from last year. I  have to go with Lake Creek as the second best team.

Lake Creek has too much team speed. Ned will make it close, but LC should take this one.

Big Ned will have to improve this week, just like they been doing.  The secondary will be the key.  This qb can pass and he's got some receivers.  Thomas will have his way.  All Sunday has to do is play his game.  Nederland by 3.

Nederland needs to run the ball, which I think they can do, and keep LC explosive offense of the field. Limit LC plays...KEY!

I agree… I’m all about being optimistic but what has Nederland done this season that would warrant them to beat a team like Lake Creek?
