For Bellville after falling short in the state championship last year expectations were high this year… despite losing 8 starters on defense. After losing one of our best offensive weapons to injury in week 2 and then our starting safety/kicker last week for the season we should still make a good playoff run. Things definitely have gone worse than expected for Bellville but playing a non district schedule like we did that was a possibility heading into this season. Cougar14.2 Posted 23 hours ago Report Share Posted 23 hours ago I thought Crosby would finish 3rd or 4th before the season started and it looks like we’ll at least finish 3rd. It’s disappointing because this is the type team and schedule Riotdan or Prieto could’ve finished at 9-1 with an opportunity for at least a regional semi appearance. That being said, I think very few of us thought Crosby would be at this point in the season and still have the opportunity to host a home playoff game. The runner-up probably still gets a brutal bi-district matchup with Pf. Weiss but if it’s Crosby I still think we relish the opportunity coming off a 2-8 season last year. Now I think 2nd is a obtainable goal. Personally I don't agree with the ranking. Tepper picked us mid season to play in the state championship game. I hope I'm wrong. Would love for them to prove me wrong. I just don't see it. 3 rounds if we line up with the weak sisters. Enough for an extension if you know what I mean.
