Over/underperforming ball clubs

Recommended Posts

I will say Nederland is progressing faster than I thought for the first year of a new coaching staff.  And they have some good players coming up as well.

WOS had a rough start but seems to be getting on track at the right time.

Silsbee is kind of back and forth.

Nederland new regime seems to have turn things around rather quickly as well as the under classmen teams.

Bridge City is a big shock for me. Good for them, and hats off to that coaching staff and players.

I thought with drop down for West Brook and United would be big for their programs after being in the toughest district in 6A and they would push for playoffs for 5A… but both are under performing. IMO.

Yeah Bridge City was the other team I was trying to think of as a surprise.

Bridge City easy the surprise of the year. Also didn't Sabine Pass get a win or two this year?

I think they started out very well but have run into some issues the last couple of games.

I didn’t expect either West Brook or United to make the playoffs honestly… regardless of dropping down… They just aren’t good programs right now

Hamshire Fannett kickin' butts and taking names.

I think most folks expected HF to be very good this year, So can't say they are over performing.

Ranked very high in preseason polls and picked by all the experts to win district.

They were my preseason pick to win district. Now I have WO-S winning district.

Over: Huffman, BC, WOS, Ned, OF (nice adjustment to the new O)

As expected: HF, LCM, PNG, Silsbee, Deweyville

Under: Vidor, Lumberton,

What were Lumbertons expectations? I imagine better than what’s happened but still weren’t much

True not much of an expectation with the amount of returners they lost, still throwing them in that category since they are in a 4-way tie for 4th seed in this district. HJ, Livingston, and LCM remains are their schedule.

Yeah, Lumberton wasn't expected to do much. 30+ seniors graduated and new head coach in his first year with that title. They'll get better down the road.

Do they have the same head coach that all of their fans wanted fired a year ago?  Or did I miss something?
