Birds take the final game of the series with Albany  5-3.

Up 11-2 in the bottom of the 8th and LU ends with a grand slam for the run rule. Final 15-2.  Birds move to 8-1 on the season.  

Quality of opponents ramp up starting tomorrow at LA. Tech before starting conference at UTRGV this weekend.

Playing well Cardinals, keep it up

Another nice win for Cardinals 9-1 with 8 w’s in a row. SLC begins Friday Keep on rolling Cards

Birds 6-5 over LA Tech.  Final play with a runner on 1st with 2 outs batter hits a double,  BUT 7-6-2 relay and we have an out at the plate!

LU gets run ruled by UTRGV 13-3 in 6 and 1/2.  Start conference 0-1.

Birds get shut out and drop game 2 against UTRGV 2-0. UTRGV has what in pictures appears do be a very nice stadium.  It once held an independent minor league team for the Texas-Louisiana League and a few other leagues as the team in Edinburg tried to remain "alive."  The university now owns the stadium and draws quite large crowds especially for the SLC. 

Cards need a win today or start at the conference schedule 0-3.

Extremely disappointing weekend as the Cards get swept. Drop the finale 5-2.   Scored only 5 runs in the series. 

Head to Rice midweek and then face SFA in a "time to get right" series next weekend at home.

We will see how they respond this week. They started out well, but for some reason always struggle with UTRGV. Hopefully they will get pitching and hitting going again. They always struggle with SLU also, so I see them losing that series also

Well they are capable of playing well. 10-5. Just struggling in conference right now. Hopefully things will get better

Yep. Tough night.  SFA starter went the distance in a 2-0 game.  O-4 start in conference was definitely not expected.

Haven’t seen a game in a few years myself…0-6 for LU did notta at the plate,7-8 each hit 9 hole sac bunt ended up a hit..back to top and lead off walked in the run

2 hole and 3 hole each K,4 hole base hit..tied at 2 in the 3rd

After 3 it’s LU 3-2,all runs for both teams scored in 3rd

First 4 score for LU in 4th,next 3 get out it’s 7-2 after 4..7-8-9 holes getting it done for the red team!

Birds get first conference win 9-3 win. First 2 conference games have drawn nice crowds. Hope to see the team keep winning and continue bringing people to the park. Would love to see consistent crowds close to 2 grand for weekend games. 1300+ Friday and 1100+ tonight. 

Also, the new scoreboard/video screen is a massive upgrade.
