BearWolf Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 i thought this was going to be an exciting year for LU Basketball both men and women but
Guest coachacola Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 Will playing Lyon College actually help the team improve? I guess it'll help the guys off the bench get more playing time, or help DHop and Todd regain their shooting touch. Otherwise isn't this just a glorified scrimmage before taking on Tech?
KFDM COOP Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 ROC said he likes throwing games like this in there. He said have a tough one then a not so tough one helps.
weslinder Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 I've been through Batesville a couple of times. It's right between Bald Knob and Mountain Home. I never noticed Lyon College, though. Perhaps because the scenery is so beautiful that I was looking another way.
Guest etbu Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 ROC said he likes throwing games like this in there. He said have a tough one then a not so tough one helps. Scheduling them tough ones huh? That should help his RPI.
BearWolf Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 I can't see where this helps. Someone please help me on this one.
Guest mffl Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 Is it going to hurt? I mean everyone was on Roc's but whenever he scheduled tough teams last year. This year, he throws in a few cupcakes and now this schedule is too easy! It's not as easy as you think making a Schedule. Not many low-majors (lower than us) want to come to Beaumont. The same goes for high and mid majors. I think Roc has done a great job scheduling this year.
KFDM COOP Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 When i spoke with ROC he said it's better to schedule like this. He said you can't have all Tough tough games on your Non conference schedule.
BearWolf Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 Let's see what happens in conference. They keep telling us about these great recruits, however great play is never transferred to the floor. Go back and look at the preseason hype and then look at the won/loss record, particularly the teams they manage to beat.
Guest mffl Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 Well i think its a good scrimmage before the Tech game.
