Rez Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 I have more thoughts to add later, but for now I’ll say I don’t think Montgomery matches up with PNG in the trenches, but they might be better equipped to take advantage of our secondary than anyone we’ve played so far. Quote
aki1994 Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 Have to limit big plays in the passing game. Throwing gets a lot tougher as the field gets smaller. Quote

Nederland didn’t either. Quote
Rez Posted October 29 Author Report Posted October 29 Just now, PNGFaithful said: Nederland didn’t either. Nederland matched up fine in the trenches, and they attacked our blocking lanes better than anyone all season. There were portions of the game where their D line made our o-line look silly, and I wish we had their Lb coach. I’m saying I don’t know that Montgomery can do what Nederland did. FrodoNDN 1 Quote
Eazy Posted October 29 Report Posted October 29 Montgomery is just a big play team. They will have more big plays than sustained drives. Going to have to play all 48 minutes. Rez 1 Quote

Offense needs to stay on the field and limit Montgomery chances. Huntsville had a goo scheme against them. Contain the QB from running. Make him beat you through the air. Eazy Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 If PNG wins and Nederland loses this week, the final game between Nederland and Montgomery will be HUGE! Every teams seeding will change depending on that one result. That would be a fitting end to the regular season for this District. Hope it happens. If PNG and Nederland both win, then, Yawn, it’s all over and everybody knows where they are. Rez 1 Quote

Nederland i’ll be the district champion, number 1 seed or whatever you want to call it. Yes I know that if two or three teams tie with the same record, they will be called co-champions and everyone gets a trophy. One team however will go in as the first place team in district and will play the fourth place team in the bi-district round. If PNG and Nederland both win, Nederland will be #1. Yes. Montgomery can still win district if they beat PNG this week and Nederland next week. Still lots to be played for in this district. Quote
Eazy Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Both Huntsville and Montgomery could still jump Nederland and they go to 4 seed Quote

But it’ll never happen cause if we choose to flip for Houston/NRG, I bet Coach Todd will choose to flip for SOC just to be a @$$hole so yeah….not a risk worth taking! Quote

Although personally I like Coach Todd he's very approachable Matt Stepp will tell you the same thing PN-G should be able to play them closer to home if thats what happens just on the basis of SOC playing PNG 15 minutes from home the last two years Quote
