Convenient how all the PNG fans are in here down talking Nederland now. They didn’t have much to say last week when Ned put belt to that ass.

Only one has said anything negative and they aren’t even from PNG. Don’t try to make it more than it is.

Lamar1996 is a long time PNG supporter been in here forever…. It’s cool, it’s a rivalry and his feeling got hurt when we dominated them.

Just pull up his profile and read his posts… Trying to be an undercover Homer…. Sour grapes

Great game tonight. Huntsville is the best team we’ve played in my opinion. Congrats on a hard fought win.

For all you guys saying Ned finishes 4th if they lose to Montgomery, I’m not sure that’s correct. I think head to head is the tiebreaker in two way ties. In 3 way ties, I think it goes to point differential amongst the tied teams. Therefore, the current points for the teams that would be tied 5-2 (if Montgomery beats Ned) would be:

Huntsville +21 (15 point win vs Mont and 6 point win vs Ned

Nederland -6 (6 point loss to Huntsville)

Montgomery -15 (15 point loss to Huntsville)

If this is the case, wouldn’t Montgomery have to beat Ned by 5 or more to not be the #4 seed?

Huntsville beat both Montgomery and Nederland. And, if Ned loses to Montgomery, Ned will have lost to both Huntsville and Montgomery. I’d think that makes it easy. Huntsville, Montgomery, then Nederland. But, I’m not a rules expert. I just can’t see it making sense that we’d have to go to points when one team has beaten both of the other two and one team has lost to both of the other two. Still, the point will be moot if Nederland beats Montgomery.

They are definitely the most talented……

Love what Coach Rich has done this season, however is he going to be like Faircloth with a very good gritty offense, but zero defense?

The last 4 games

West Fork a 1st year varsity program- 28 points

Lake Creek - 38 points

PNG - 21 points

Huntsville- 44 points

Hopefully it is just not much talent on defense this year

I know from watching all season the secondary and LB’ers are just not very good

Hopefully they will play well vs Montgomery

Defense did not play wet play well last night. It was the hiking the ball over the punters head and Huntsville score a touchdown was the dagger at that point we were within five points, we could’ve stopped them on defense and gotten the ball back and scored a touchdown and had lead it’s different story than defense will make some adjustments just like they did against PNG and sent all those Indians home early😂

It’s sad reading some post from PNG fans. They are so happy Nederland lost and hoping they lose again next Friday.  I get it, you’re scared to finish 2nd and face SOC in 2nd round.  IMO Nederland just lost to the best team in district. PNG got very lucky to get that win. People are committing like it’s the end of Nederland’s season. They will regroup and treat next week as a playoff game and take the district championship and #1 seed.

Will yall chill out. No true PNG fans are sitting here glorying in the Nederland loss. Truth is Ned gave Huntsville a free score with a special teams error, had them stopped on 3rd and long and got a facemask called that continued their drive which led to score, let Huntsville run all over the place and still had a shot to put the game away to the very final seconds. Montgomery isn't that high of a caliber, not worried about it.

No they don’t do it that way.  That would make too much sense.  The flawed way the District does it is the team that wins by the most points gets the 1st spot.  And the team that loses by the most points gets the 2nd spot.  That’s the reverting back to H2H as they say.  This assumes all teams are 1-1 against each other.
However, in this case,  I think head to head between the 3 teams has to be considered first which would be Hunts 2-0, Montg 1-1, Ned 0-2.  If not, then the tiebreaker is even more flawed.
