All 4 of PNG’s games against their top 4 competitors were one score games.  This District has been probably the most exciting district race I can remember.

Agree

That looked like a backwards pass recovered for a PNG TD.  Ref called it incomplete immediately

Should have gone to us. It was clearly backwards.

It’s insane. In week 10 the current 1st place could fall as far as 4th.

I’m not going to be specific about any player or position group so as to not run afoul of rules, but there is definitely a weak portion to our defense and other teams know it

I just watched a few clips on YouTube (that seemed to be all there was to watch for some reason), but PNG's secondary this year is not as quick as last year and try to arm tackle. The front 4 and the 2 inside LB's are tough as nails! But once you get around them...

#4 is a hoss!

Ahhhh ok. Whoever replaced them needs to step up. Offense is way too vanilla.

McCrary retired and Feller was let go, both are sorely missed.  The offense is so vanilla and very predictable.  It looks like middle school ball, go figure that’s where the OC came from.  They better get it fixed and it better happen quick

So how is it looking for playoffs right now

Next weeks game will decide it. The way I see it:

Montgomery wins: 1. PNG, 2. Huntsville, 3. Montgomery, 4. Nederland

Nederland wins: 1. Nederland, 2. PNG, 3. Huntsville, 4. Montgomery

That is assuming PNG beats Dayton and Huntsville beats Splendora which both should happen.

If PNG loses to Dayton, then we may need the 4 way tiebreaker rules.

Montgomery has a good offense. They depend a little too much on big plays. It’s either a home run or nothing for them. But, overall PNG did a good job last night. And the offense continues to move the ball despite our two best RBs nursing injuries from as far back as the Huntsville game. Not perfect, but who is? This is starting to feel like one of those seasons where we’re battle tested and struggling, but overall getting better. We’ve got a great head coach. It will come together.

Anyone have an update on Chagtanier? We had a few short yardage situations where he would have extended drives. Hopefully he will be ready by the 1st round of the playoffs. He wears defenses down with his punishing running style.

Fractured fibula.  They would need to make another long run to State for him to have a chance to get back on the field.

Man that's too bad for #15. I hear that he's a good kid. He's certainly a good rb and will be missed for however many remaining games PNG has.

So now the 3rd string RB is the starter. Unless I'm mistaken the 2nd string RB was injured in the Klein game?

Henry will be starting but he’s still not 100%.  They’ll have to get J Jerry up to speed with the ones.  He was running back in the spring game and broke some long runs.  Moved him to OLB then back to RB.  He’s been splitting carries with Naquin.  He’s more of a true RB in my opinion with good vision and breakaway speed.

Wow! that's going to be a huge loss going forward.
