Silsbee (49) @ Jasper (47) - FINAL

Recommended Posts

With my Boona Cougars playing so bad, I decided to stay in Jasper Co and go see Silsbee and Jasper. What a game! Who needs defense? lol.... This is what high school football is all about.  I thought it was a relatively a clean game by both teams and officials did a nice job. I don't know what chapter, but they handled it very well and the ref gave good thorough explanations especially on the clock runoffs late in the game.

There were some head scratching offensive play calling on both sides, but one of the most exciting I've seen a few years.

Don't think Silsbee put up 49pts vs anyone this season. The game ball has to go to Johnson for Silsbee. I know he had 2 TDs receiving and maybe 80 yards receiving. He also had to have a solid game rushing and mayne close to 100 yards. On top of that he had an interception in 3rd qtr jumping up with the big TE Armstrong from Jasper.

Great pick 6 by Farr and tremendous game by the Silsbee WRs. Miller, #24, Johnson, #11, all played well. Also Moshier may have had a career high passing with no ints. Great deciding making throwing the ball and some very very hard runs by him. Great win Tigers!!

After watching the game this morning, I 100% agree. Johnson did everything he could to lead his team last night. First time at the RB position and did quite well. (I would guess at least 80 yards rushing) Made some good catches out of his normal receiver spot (including a TD). He also was very important on the defensive side getting a crucial pick late in the game.

Tigers had several "next man up" last night after coming into game a little short handed.

Very gritty win for those Tigers.
