Congrats OF. Didn’t think they would be the DC. They have gotten better each week with the new offensive scheme. Wouldn’t be surprised at a nice playoff run.

Great job to OF on winning the crown. Their defense held EC pretty well considering how good their run game can be at times. Manning with the 5 TDs on the ground. 

Felt like things were kind of even in the first half until EC got picked off in the endzone by #10 Morrow and then Morrow ends up with the long rec TD to put OF up by 2 scores before the half. Turning point in the game.

Worth noting, that the first two drives for OF in the second half only had two total plays. Manning took it to the house both plays. Probably put up between 75-100 yards between those plays as well.

EC had a few less costly penalties than the Anahuac game, but holding erased a big 50+ gain from Caesar. I think he’d have maybe 100-150 more yards this season without the holding penalties on some of his carries. Next year’s match up is going to be so fun to watch. #0 Smith for EC got a TD with #3 Fontenot and #11 Jones as well. Smith was impressive with his speed as always, some folks up in the booth were blown away by how fast he can get just immediately can get 10-20 yards down the field before a defense can react sometimes.

 

Coach Breaux seems to have picked up where Coach Smalley left off and kept OF in good hands. Good job to OF winning district. Good job EC for making playoffs.

When the players play with a little chip on their shoulders by people constantly saying Orangefield can’t run the spread. Orangefield is too small, not enough talent bath bag bag…

 

the kids had something to prove. Orangefield is still running a lot but has more than 2 passing routes….. that’s the difference.

We started out trashy and I apologize for our fans. We had several booing EC on their run out before the game even started. A lot of our fans are classless. There were some poor calls from the refs but we booed a time out because so many of us don’t know anything about football. The same fans were screaming throw a flag ref and then 2 plays later yelling let the boys play ref when we get called for a penalty. And the cussing at refs is just as trashy and immature as imit comes. That being said our boys still persevered and pulled out the win. Go Bobcats

Problem with the deep run is Columbus and Hitchcock in the same region. But if we keep getting better you never know.

Orangefield would see Palestine Westwood in round 3… First round should be a W… 2nd round would be most likely the second place team from the Franklin district

I thought Palestine Westwood would play Columbus round 2? Not sure they would win that one would be a good game though. Figure Orangefield would see Cameron second round. But haven’t looked at last nights games in those districts. First round against Teague should be a blow out. Can’t overlook them though they did beat New Waverley 28-7 and we played them close. On the other hand coach Breaux was punishing the starting o-line that game for playing bad against Woodville. We also early in the season before things started clicking.

If Westwood plays Columbus round 2 and Columbus is healthy then Columbus most likely is winning that game… but they are banged up right now I believe..

Can’t say enough about what Coach Breaux and his staff have done with this team. Started a little sluggish but that was expected. This team bought in to Breaux’s system and continue to get better each week. To win the DC in year 1 is impressive!  That’s something that has only been done one other time in the past 30 years in Orangefield. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish!
