Recommended Posts

Hope this isn’t to early to post… but this game is HUGE… District Championship on the line… and major playoff implications… Win this game… and you don’t have to see Bellville or Waco La Vega until round 4… lose and Waco La Vega is waiting in round 2. This is gonna be a awesome matchup let’s get it started!

Give me WO-S.

I picked HF in the preseason to win this district but changed my pick mid season to the Mustangs. I like how they match up with the Longhorns. I think WO-S has the speed to handle and disrupt the HF offense and the run game to control the ball against the Horn defense.

It will be a battle and one I will definitely be on the sidelines for. Not going to miss this one.

I think one team will win by 20 points. Can WOS stop passing game of HF? On other hand can HF stop the running game of WOS?HF i small in lines compared to WOS. WOS will have speed advantage but will have to cut down on penalities' I give edge to WOS.

Was La Vega missing key player when wos played them?

Idk I’ve heard people say that and I’ve heard people say they weren’t… but regardless I’d imagine both La Vega and WOS are different teams now at this point in the season

I can't determine if this ticket link is for Home or Visitor. Seems like the WOS faithful want to witness this one. I can't imagine we all fit in the small side of Longhorn stadium. Maybe 1000 seats on that side?

Needing info for live stream too?

Here's some highlights of HF

I am guessing the visitor side holds around 700-800. But that also includes seating for band and drill team. Stadium holds about 2800.

As for stream, I am thinking Texan Live might pick this game up but not sure they will. HF has their own audio broadcast on Facebook but no video.

Give me HF by 10.  Nobody has slowed their offense down all year apart from LCM in the mud bowl.  Their defense was a question early on, but their first team defense has given up about 3 touchdowns in the last 6 weeks, including completely blanking Jasper for 3 quarters a week after the dawgs put up 5 touchdowns against WOS.  Their secondary is pretty dang good with Pirtle and Starnes going both ways, and their running D is much improved. Fun fact: Ty Bryson over the last 4 games is 68 of 81 for 1203 yds, 16 TDs and 1 interception.  On the year he’s completed 75% of his passes for almost 2700 yds, with 33 TDs and 7 ints, 4 of which were against Hitchcock.  Maybe WOS stops him, but I’ll be a little surprised. The stangs D is better than last year, but they’ve still given up a lot of points in some games.

La vega couldn't do anything with Jefferson at rb.so if they played again there hands will be full again. But, HF been scoring a lot of points they want slow him down either w.o secondary has to hold up.HF can't afford to be in no ground and pound game.jefferson is the best player in the area and he would make them pay

    • naw, maaaaybe 7, definitely not 8 deep.  today im avoiding sitting by #10s parents, had to move away yesterday.   "put my son back in jub, put my son back in"  and then crying on every little touch of someone.    lets ball out today ktz!
    • Very close game until the 2nd half (mostly the 4th) when Orangefield came unraveled. Worse defensive effort I have seen out of the Bobcats in three years. This team has to get back on D and quit getting beat over the top when pressing. Offensively, non ball handlers continually turn it over and their shot selection is poor. Basic basketball, such as: defensive hustle, boxing out, and taking care of the basketball are the areas the Bobcats need to work on most. Whitmire will get them on point, but he shouldn't have to coach effort at the Varsity Level.  We'll be at McNeese this Friday night at 6pm.
    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.
    • 1 thing for certain. Coach Earned 3 more years to figure it out lol
