seems kinda silly.  We come to you live to figure out seeding so we can tell you which district 9 teams these two teams will lose to next week in the playoffs!

TL has done all Huffman games all season. Same as Silsbee, East Chambers, Crosby and Barbers Hill. They have contracts but I still thought they would send a camera crew since we were doing the audio for this game.

I have reached out.

It seems that TL is not welcomed at HF. That's what I am hearing.

Interesting. Someone should ask their communication director for an explanation. That's a major disservice to any visiting fans. Step it up to compliment your growing program. Make it available or expand the seating capacity. You're not playing Newton in district anymore.

Isn't he a sports guy too? Maybe I'm mistaking him for another brother.

From my understanding, it is not his call.

I agree. This is likely the AD and/or administration's call. Still worth asking. Worst they can do is not respond. And I think the communication director would be the person to give a statement if one can be made.

Really it's just a distraction now. I got my ticket. Plus a few more for some very special WOS fans that breed blue and silver too. I do a lot to spread the live stream links every week. This week its just the old school audio only broadcast. And the fans are still glad to have SETXsports.com. As always this site provides fans from all across the area with the only access to this state ranked district championship game.

May the football gods grant us the gift of wonderful weather and safe travels.

So you think throwing a wet ball into a wet receiver’s hands gives HF an advantage? Usually a wet field is more conducive to the ground game.

No. I think that a team accustomed to playing on turf will struggle with the run on grass/mud. No sense in making this a debate. The game is tonight and we will see how well they hold up. It did rain pretty heavily in the area this morning.

Nope. No debate whatsoever. Anyone who knows football will tell you that wet rainy conditions are worse for the passing game no matter the playing surface. Thanks for your comment though.

So you think slick turf is easier to run on?

Just glad to see the Stangs winning and playing for something again.  I remember when this was the time of year the state would put out WOS projected path maps like the weather folk. This would tell them where the Stangs were headed and the probable next defeatee,  then folks could prepare accordingly.  Look forward to the game tonite, should be a good one.
