BREAKING the 12-2A Division II DEC has ruled Sabine Pass must forfeit district wins over Colmesneil, Hull-Daisetta and Evadale for using ineligible players No word on if Sabine Pass will appeal to the UIL

Need some details on this one Boss.

Pretty self explanatory. Used ineligible player(s) in district play.

DEC does not provide the names of player(s) in the district meeting minutes.

If I had to guess, a player or players had not established residency within the school district.Ā

If you dont live in the attendance boundries of the district and meet the UIL's resindency rules you have to sit out a yearĀ

Even if you live in the boundaries and meet the rules canā€™t you still have to sit out a certain number of games?

15 calendar days from the date of enrollment.. assuming the previous athletic directors check the PAPF that the student didn't move for athletic purposes.Ā  I believe.Ā

That's only for varsity athletics.Ā  Kids can transfer and begin playing with the sub varsity team immediately.Ā

I told y'all a few weeks ago that Sabine Pass got better outta nowhere. I figured they brought some ringers in, but they gotta do it in the Spring lol.

No... Coach, ir whoever, has to fill out the PAPF and do it by the book. Not as an afterthought. If the PAPF was filled out, signed off on, approved by the DEC and If they were enrolled in school on the first day, then they are eligible immediately. It's only if you enroll after the 6th day of class that you have to sit out the 15 days.
