Kountzer Posted November 8 Report Posted November 8 Does this change start this season or the next? Quote
Kountzer Posted November 8 Report Posted November 8 The federal dept of education, public schools, the UIL, they are all close to extinction. Schools lie FFA will be the norm. Quote

Schools lie FFA will be the norm. Not sure this is an accurate statement. Schools like FF pick and choose who they want. In there case high level basketball players. Still a whole lot of kids that will have to be educated that don't fit this category or in other cases parents wont be able to afford private schools. It may change things for some, but extinction is probably a little to strong of a description. Quote

I" was thinking we seen them twice in the Championship game. And in the state Semifinals once. And don't know wy.. But anyways two times then.. 🤦🏻♂️😂 Quote
Tigers94 Posted November 9 Report Posted November 9 I wish they'd left a few years earlier 🤷♂️ Quote
JimThorpe Posted November 9 Report Posted November 9 Silsbee High School needs to hang two banners in the gym and commission two trophies for the case. 2022 Provisional State Champions 2024 Provisional State Champions And Washington should do the same for 2023. And from now on when I refer to Silsbee's past record I'm going to say that they won the state 4A Championship in 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024. In 22 and 24 they played and extra exhibition game after the Championship game. Quote
Tigers94 Posted November 10 Report Posted November 10 It's a nice thought, but sometimes you just have to let things go. There's no guarantee Silsbee would have beat Dallas Carter, their likely opponents if FF wasn't in the way, in either of those two years. I do think we'd at least get them one time though. Starting with the kids that are in 7th grade right now, Silsbee should have a lot of talent eventually making their way to high school. This years 7th grade class won't be the only one that's loaded either. There will be more on the way behind that if everything works out. Hopefully if the Tigers can make several runs at state in a few years, there won't be some stupid academy school standing in the way. Quote
