Fouls carry over to OT . Montgomery could have used it on PAT & maybe went for 2. If PAT is missed, game is over. If made, foul carries over to OT.

First and foremost congratulations Nederland your BACK. You won MCM and was secs from winning the DC. Dont hang your head. You have continuously outperform expectations. Sounds like the Refs were not very good. Now next week just go do what you have been doing all year. Show everyone you are not the Nederland of the last few years and bring that new Bulldogs t Texarkana and show them who you are. Again congratulations on being back. You can win it will be tough everyone will say you have little chance, but you have excelled in those situations all year. Go shock all those people. You have the best RB in SETX and one heck of a game planner.

Things that must be addressed in the off season

Punt team - must get much better way too many mistakes this year

have to find the right personnel on defense. I don’t know if it is hiring new defensive coaches, changing the DC or better teaching 

The defense has been very poor You are playing for a co championship and have  a 28-21 lead with 1 minute to go and you let them go 60 yards in 1 minute to tie the game

personal fouls need to be addressed- obviously there are too many players mouthing and hitting late. That cost the Dogs big time

Texas High probably 42 plus and the Dogs 14 maybe 21

Congratulations Dogs.  I couldn’t get a good reception to get a good feel of the game but it seems yall fought till the end. Bad calls, too many penalties and no defense at the end.  A very long and rainy night was probably the answer to most of these issues.  It was two teams battling hard.  
Play your game next week and you’ll be a winner.

After regulation while head coaches at mid field, the side judge in front of Nederland sideline got his feelings hurt and threw a flag. He threw it with 0 seconds on clock and before the coin toss. Overall, worst officiating in a half you could imagine. Picture Remember the Titans before Coach Yoast stepped in and threatened to expose the refs during the game.

The fans were screaming some pretty out of line things at the refs. Lots of profanity. You could even hear it on the broadcast. That kind of stuff makes more penalties likely.

I like Nederland’s chances against Texas High. Hubert Thomas can score a lot against Texas High. THigh’s defense isn’t anything special, and nederland’s defense matches up well against Texas High’s running back. I think a lot of people might be surprised on Friday.

Rez good post, however I take it that you have not Nederland’s defense. They have given up 40 a game the past 2 games and choked up the 4th quarter vs Montgomery giving up 21. Why because the secondary is very poor and the LB’ers are not very good with the exception of #6 who is really a DE

I do hope you are right, but after watching the past 2 games I see Texas high scoring at least 42. Big Ned maybe 28 more like 21

I know that the punt team and defense doesn’t look good for the Bulldogs 

you have a chance to be co champions and get the 1 seed and you give up 21 in the last 8 minutes of the game The last 60 yard drive in 1 minute.  If you think that is good you have had 1 too many dives off the deep end without any water in the pool

Heck no!!!  This was before I knew little Ned fell on our side of the bracket.
