Carthage Dawg starting defense held 7 out of 10 teams to minus yards rushing and less than 50 yards passing until the backups came in. 
If you’re wondering about the one loss to Kilgore to start the season. Dawg QB played on an ankle swollen up like a grapefruit and missing 4 starters. 
Kilgore does have a great defense and has a legitimate shot at playing in the 4A DI state championship.

Chapel Hill which could make a run in 4A DI with their Texas commit at running back had minus yards rushing and no first downs until the Dawg starters were pulled in the 3rd quarter.
