New here, coming over from smoaky. But didn't see a thread on this and wanted to get some homer thoughts. CHill has been without their starting QB for 5 weeks. The Texas Commit at RB was injured  during their game with Pine Tree. No official word om either of their return. Offensively without these two they struggled, but seemed to find themselves in their week 11 match up against Henderson. What are your thoughts? What is the scouting report on Huffman? from 1-9 to 9-1 big turn around. What changed?

was told that they had a whole class of kids basically quit on the team a couple of years ago and fielded very young teams for two years.  They're more experienced this year, and also benefit from being in a super weak district.  They're not a bad team, but I don't expect Chapel Hill to struggle much against them, although those key injuries may make it more interesting.  They and Bridge City are in the same boat: both have improved quite a bit from last year, but both have also played exceptionally soft schedules.

Last time they meet on the gridiron 2014 in Lufkin, Texas. One of the coldest day's I ever remeber a football game being played. Chapel 57 and Huffman 43. The game seemed much closer than the final score, but who knows I have slept since then. Huffman at home should help the Falcons, but I'm sure Chapel Hill will pack their speed with them. I'm interested to see if the QB and RB are back for CH.

Huffman has undergone a wholesale culture shift over the past year. Younger players who have won their whole life have begun winning again and have their swagger back. They have morphed into a hardnosed, tough group of ball players who have more fight in them than most outside of the walls of the field house thought was there. They will be a game opponent for CH and I truly believe this game will be closer than most will think. Huffman has a chance to win the game but must be patient, control the clock and keep the mistakes to an absolute minimum. I was not aware of the injury issues with CH, but it really shouldn't change anything for Huffman. Game plan will be the same. Heavy dose of 12, sprinkle in some 11, move the chains with 0 and explode occasionally with 4. The defense is stout will be challenged to keep the speed of CH bottled up. The coaching matchup is the most intriguing part of this matchup for me. The infamous Rio vs the new kid on the block Buchta. Coach Buchta has shouldered a ton of criticism over the past two seasons, some admittedly from me, but has silenced the doubters by adding the missing element to this program, culture. He has built culture and excitement in the program over the past year and this week's game might just be his introduction to the rest of the state. The community has returned to Falcon Stadium each week and is packing the house in support of this team. The biggest edge Huffman will have on Friday night is this game being played in Huffman. This is a HUGE deal for a first-round matchup against a team with the pedigree of CH and just might be the thing that gives Huffman the ability to get over the hump. I am extremely excited about this matchup and feel confident in saying it is a must-see game for all Falcon fans, and TXHSFB fans in general.

What injury did the qb take?

I am not sure about that, but I keep hearing he will be back for sure if they make it to the second round. Almost makes it sound like the issue isn't an injury, but maybe grades. Not sure about that so take it with a grain of salt, but the lack on injury details and the assurance of his return at a specific time makes me lean toward that hypothesis.

Stewart will return this week. How much he will play is still unknown. Ch has some great rbs besides Stewart. If ch can spread the field like they did against Henderson with the Stewart threat, i look for CH to have a good night. CH’s defense has been improving weekly and look good. Should be a fun game.
