Good thing it is 2024....🤣 Nederland running game will give the Tigers issues all night. Quote

MP has the seasons I'm referring to listed as 22-23 and 24-25, so just a typo sorta deal. here's hoping Nederland can get past them. It's an awful break for them to have to face Texas High in the first round, but pretty unlucky for Texas high to have to face them as well. Rez, Lamar1996 and Reagan 3 Quote

Nederland knocked off a previous state #1 already. So a #3 should be very plausible. I think most are favoring undefeated Thigh at home but wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way. Quote

rvbulldogs Posted November 14 Report Posted November 14 42-24 Texas High. The bulldogs have proven us wrong a couple of times this year. Hope they prove this score wrong but the defense has really struggled at times this year and struggled the last couple of weeks. Quote

Probably their best offense since winning state, and that's saying a lot. The way to beat them is to run the ball and get first downs and tds. Then play aggressive on defense and hope you can get a couple turnovers. Base defenses will get eaten alive. Quote
Lamar1996 Posted November 14 Report Posted November 14 Last season when PNG beat Lake Creek, PNG held onto the football the entire first quarter with 1 minute remaining. Time of possession will be key in a Nederland win. Nederland's running game will chew down that clock. Quote
bulldawg64 Posted November 14 Report Posted November 14 I remember also 2012 playing Pearland Dawson nobody expected us to win, recently png we were not expected to win .that is why the game is played u just don't know what could happen. I know the dogs will have to play their hearts out on Friday night against a very good team for sure. Good luck dogs Quote
NDN1982 Posted November 14 Report Posted November 14 I for some reason absolutely believe NEDERLAND is going to pull this out!!! I'm pulling for the DAWGS 1000% bulldawg64 1 Quote

PNG4LIFE91 Posted November 15 Report Posted November 15 In most districts, there’s usually a pretty big difference between the 1st and 4th place teams, but that’s not the case here in District 8! Nederland is NOT the “typical” 4th place push over, so TH could be in for a BIG surprise if they come in overconfident!! GO GET EM DOGS!! Quote

And, even with all the complaints about Nederland’s secondary, I would feel pretty good about their chances if they can put pressure on the qb and slow down the run game. Even with no one else on the field, passes (especially deep ones) are likely to be dropped, much more so with some pressure on the qb. NHSBulldogFan 1 Quote
grayhair777 Posted November 15 Report Posted November 15 Yeah, but no one‘s talking about special teams play. That is what cost us The last game is that been fixed, and this stupid personal foul penalties!!! Quote

Who lost by 1. So it's easy for games to get away from you if you didn't bring your A game. grayhair777 1 Quote
