for what it's worth, this 2025 version is WAAAAAAY better than that 2023 version, so this is pretty irrelevant.  that team was 8-2 with 3-pt wins over 1-9 Whitehouse and 2-8 Pine Tree over the last 4 weeks of the season.

Good thing it is 2024....🤣 Nederland running game will give the Tigers issues all night.

eh, you know what I meant.  MP has the seasons I'm referring to listed as 22-23 and 24-25, so just a typo sorta deal.  here's hoping Nederland can get past them.  It's an awful break for them to have to face Texas High in the first round, but pretty unlucky for Texas high to have to face them as well.

We gonna do what they say can't be done

I don't see many claiming it CANT be done, knowing THighs recent playoff struggles. Nederland knocked off a previous state #1 already. So a #3 should be very plausible. I think most are favoring undefeated Thigh at home but wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way.

It's an old Jerry Reed song Eastbound and Down I just added some lyrics before long way to go and a short time to get there for 1970😄

42-24 Texas High. The bulldogs have proven us wrong a couple of times this year. Hope they prove this score wrong but the defense has really struggled at times this year and struggled the last couple of weeks.

Thigh Is the last team you want to play with a struggling defense. Probably their best offense since winning state, and that's saying a lot. The way to beat them is to run the ball and get first downs and tds. Then play aggressive on defense and hope you can get a couple turnovers. Base defenses will get eaten alive.

I remember also 2012 playing Pearland Dawson nobody expected us to win, recently png we were not expected to win .that is why the game is played u just don't know what could happen. I know the dogs will have to play their hearts out on Friday night against a very  good team for sure. Good luck dogs

In most districts, there’s usually a pretty big difference between the 1st and 4th place teams, but that’s not the case here in District 8!  Nederland is NOT the “typical” 4th place push over, so TH could be in for a BIG surprise if they come in overconfident!!  GO GET EM DOGS!!

This is exactly what’s coming north … not the base defense part

If Nederland doesn't put pressure on Potter it's going to be a long night

Nederland has an above-average defensive line. And, even with all the complaints about Nederland’s secondary, I would feel pretty good about their chances if they can put pressure on the qb and slow down the run game. Even with no one else on the field, passes (especially deep ones) are likely to be dropped, much more so with some pressure on the qb.
