just happened to be logging into NFHS to watch some football at the deer lease friday and saw this game listed.  I watched the last couple of minutes. Brookeland had a player (#11, I think) hit three straight contested jumpers from inside the arc and then a couple of clutch free throws to keep them in it.  Brookeland didn't foul at the end, which seemed like a bad choice, but had a decent look to tie at the end.

#11 is Junior Landon Smith - 2 time District MVP and All State last year -  he had 17 points in the 4th quarter and 28 for the game.

We did foul - HJ made one to put them up 3 with 5 seconds left,  we missed a three at the buzzer to tie it up.   We had to give 4 fouls in the last 1:00 just to get them in the bonus.  

Great environment for our kids to play in -  Hancock going to be good at HJ,, that run and jump was the best I have seen and it's only going to get better.

Yeah, I meant sooner, sorry.  HJ also played a part in that by not trying to burn the clock.
